Through humbling yourself in worship and bowing down to a higher supremity. I know this sounds cliche; but there is none worthy of worship but God and He is constantly awaiting your prayers and repentance so he can lead you to the truth. Only when you acknowledge God do you realize how small you are in the scheme of things. God bless and peace.

Oh Do Not Fight it..... Kill It with God's sword...His Word... God does not like a proud look.... Pride is a hard thing to face ...Knowing you have it, is the first step....
You cannot change what you do not acknowledge.... Say for example, you are too pround to ask for assistance in lets say, getting dressed. By a stranger..... I would not like it...Knowing I wasnt able to help myself... But I would thank God for sending someone to help me...When you find yourself in a proud way....Think of the outcome of allowing someone else to lend a helping hand, and them getting a blessing for helping you...And you also are part of that blessing... Do unto others as you would have others do onto you.... You are probably a giver and are used to being in control of situations...Let God take the reigns...Let him work on you...He wont falter or fail you in any way.... Be pround in the Lord and focus all the negative WORLDLY PRIDE int GODLY PRIDE....... God Bless You

I just spoke with someone earlier today about this very thing... I say you must set them aside for the most part. Pride is dangerous and you will miss out on many wonderful things because of it. Don't allow something so useless to control you. Live and Love.

Be careful sometimes you get an answer to a "Q" like that from places you don't expect !
When ever I get too far off track and think I'm something special ,
life finds a way to put me in my place .

I just remember that everything we have is a gift from God, so I can't say "my children are the best", since He gave them to me. It's not about me. It's what He did for us. I would be nothing without Him.
That's a good question though.

I try to remember that sometimes people may see my self-pride as me being arrogant so I try to remain as humble as possible.

One usually can adjust it with age. However, it is difficult to conquer one's limit which would be different for each individual.
