I was on the PE field and this highschool chick was running around and she turned and looked at me and then she smiled. What does this mean?

Almost certainly flirting with you. You need to store up a couple of lines that you can say when things like that happen. Find an excuse to talk to her soon.

It may not mean what you're hoping or wanting to mean.
My wife says, for all you know, you may look ridiculous. You might have had a goober in your nose, who knows?
What I was starting to say, before my wife walked up and looked at the screen, was that you can't necessarily hypothesize only the good stuff. And I'm not saying, don't be an optimist.
A woman's mind is a marvellous and mysterious thing. You cannot pretend to know or ever learn all that it holds. Women have a way of figuring you out and you're still on square one.
So what do I do now? You might ask. Well, first off, shower. Then shave. Then dress well. And don't be so cocky.

A smile could have an infinite number of meanings. Do you ever talk to this girl? It is possible that she may like you. Why don't you ask her what she meant. This is the best way to find out, otherwise you will go nuts.
Another option is to observe her and she how she acts when you are around (you may already know!) this will give you a better idea.

It means at that particular moment she thought you were cute from behind and turned around to get the whole picture. So the question is did she smile because she liked, or she smiled because she was caught looking? Did she smile because she was flirting, or she smiled because she was caught and her next thought was "I hope he doesn't think I am interested"? You'll just have to let it all play out.

You may be about to get your first clue about the difference between male and female sexuality.
First of all, there are two drives, the drive for sex and the drive to feel sexually attractive.
With males, the drive to feel sexually attractive is less important, and is not satisfied until after the drive for sex has been satisfied and they have been invited back.
With females, the drive to feel sexually attractive is more important, and is satisfied when you smile back at them.
By all means approach and say hello, but don't be surprised if you don't get anywhere.

Well it depends on the smile. If her head was lowered and she looked up at u with dazzaling eyes, then she likes u but if she just looked at u and smiled, then she is just being polite
