Good quality dog food such as Natural Balance, Canidae, Wellness, etc. Dobermans can gain weight really quickly so it is important to keep them on a strict diet. As for exercise, a lot of different things can be considered exercise. Playing tug or long walks are also exercise. Running is good but i personally do not make them run everyday. I usually try to do it every 2-3 days and even then, its not running the whole time. Animals get sore just like humans do when their muscles are worked too much. What i do, is M/W/S is i make them run for about 15 or so minutes by making them fetch a ball or toy. Before that, i do about 2-4 bites on a tug with some vigorous pulling on both ends. (Gentle with pups. Their teeth aren't fully developed until about 8 months+) T/Ths i take them for long walks (20-60 minutes) or i do obedience or bite work with them. Depending how old they are, (months wise), i won't let them run too much. Remember, gentle on teeth and bones until they are 8 months. After that, you can start increasing the pressure until they are about a year old. After a year, you can play full speed with them.

Let the puppy out in the morning and then feed it 1 cup of dry dog food. A good kind from a pet store like Nutro for pups. Not Iams. Then take your puppy for at least a ten minute walk. When he goes pee and poop praise him. Same thing in the evening. You need to walk him in the middle of the day also but not to feed him.

It is hard to say, how old is your pup? diet: a good premium dog kibble is in order, dobies tend to have skin problems, so I would denfinately research my foods. Please remember, dobies are high on the list for bloat, so smaller meals more often are in order for this breed, as well as a raised food and water bowl. Good luck with your new pup, one of my favorite breeds.
