I've been with men like you speak of. Being affectionate is hugging or kissing or stuff like that at appropriate times. Being clingy is wanting to be around the person 24/7 and wanting to know where they are when not with you, or having to call them 10 times a day. I need my space to be alone or go out with other people, like friends or my kids. If you feel she is getting to the point of being annoyed, back off.

Give some space... Don't call 24/7.... Come by a few times out of the week.. not everyday. Make her miss you... If she's seeing you and talking to you all the time, it's like you're a stalker or her parole officer. And if you must call, don't hold a long convo.. call sometimes to say i was thinkin about you and i love you.. done. The formula is to be there enough that you are showing her attention and giving her space at the same time.

just give affection when its needed. Still make her feel like you want her and hold her and and hug her etc etc.... but when she's clearly busy doing something dont expect her to drop everything and start pashing or hugging or giving you affection back because it's just annoying.
Just do it when its appropriate and not too much because it can get overwhelming. You can always tell when it's right.

I don't know because I had sex with a guy once and I just wanted to lay on his chest but he acted like I was being needy. So I moved. Then I started thinking.....what happened to romance?
