I don't think being gay is a choice, it is who you are. People stereotype all types of people (blacks, whites, people who live in trailer parks, hispanics, etc. etc.) and I don't think anyone would make the choice to be ostracized from other people. Once you have accepted yourself and who you are, hopefully narrow minded people will not hurt you emotionally. You should not live your life as a lie by attempting to be something you are not, you will only hurt others in the process--such as a girl/guy that you date or marry simply to satisfy others. My nephew who is gay tried in vain to be straight and got married and has 2 children, when he finally "broke" he just about destroyed his family and the relationship with his children. His children are a god send and very beautiful children, but if he had been honest at the beginning he would not have devastated so many lives. Good Luck and Get Off the Roller Coaster.

Look, it's all according to your principles. I personally don't treat gay people bad just because they're gay. I've met a few very, very nice gay people. And on the other hand, very annoying and stupid ones. But the thing is, that as nice as they may be, I still don't agree with what they're doing. I won't treat them any differently than another normal person...but to me it's not right. If you follow the Bible, you'd know that it's not the right thing to do. Homosexuality was not approved by God. So, no. But I also don't agree with people stereotyping, either. =)
Sorry for my long opinion!

Yes, its OK; just be 110% sure that you actually are gay. And remember that the biggest part of being either straight or gay is establishing and maintaining the relationship with your partner. Sex is the icing on the cake, but if the cake itself (your relationship with your partner) isn't good, then the whole thing is going to be way off.

yeah ..people will always stereotype you no matter what. If your black ,white, brown, yellow, short, tall, if your gothic...ext.
i believe that the day will come when everyone accepts everyone for who they are and what they believe in. I know that day isn't today and it may not be tomorow but if my generation teaches their children how to care for other and not to judge before getting to know someone , i think the human race might have a chance.
Keep on being your self no matter what other people say...usually people try to pick on someone because they have problems of their own.
take care and much love

It is only your problem. Be sure that you really are one and you do not pretend to be one. There is a big difference. People will not hate you because you are a gay, but because you are a bastard (if you are nasty with them, etc.). Be a nice person, that is all.

dont stereotype yourself as wrong!
do what ever the hell you want to in life, as long as it doesnt come at a negative cost to you or others. be safe, and enjoy life.
I have tattoos, and I am stereotyped as a criminal, but I DONT CARE. the people who judge us negatively for our choices, when it doesnt affect them, are not worth the ear to listen. they are trash, operating without intelligence to understand the beauty of individual choice.
Choose life, make it yours!
