for hair growth do hot oilmassages and do protien treatement:-
Hot oil massages: Warm 2 tsp. of olive oil and 2 tsp. coconut oil and gently massage every part of the scalp for 10-15 minutes. Rinse a towel in hot water, wipe and wind the hair around the head as it cools. Repeat 2 or 3 times to issue total saturation. After that, shampoo and rinse well. It is good for brittle dry hair.
Hot Caster oil massage: Warm ½ cup of castor oil, massage into scalp and gently.......
Natural homemade Protein treatment: Beat 1 egg and add slowly 1 tsp of olive oil and 1 tsp of vinegar. Apply it on hair and keep for 10 to 15 minutes. Apply shampoo and rinse well. This is good for all type of hair.
For oily hair Use any thin type of oil instead of olive oil and add lemon juice instead of vinegar.
If you feel sticky also it is worth to do protien treatement. Use mild shampoo twice and condition it next day.....read more ---

Yep, the nutritional advice will help way more than anything you could put ON your hair. Drug stores and places like GNC sell "hair, skin, and nails" vitamins that actually work. The ingredient that makes them work well is biotin...a b vitamin that has something to do with supporting protein absorption. You can buy biotin separately as well.
I really believe they make your nails and hair grow longer, and keep your hair from falling out at its normal rate.
Aside from protein, think about getting the GOOD fats...omega 3s. These also keep your hair from falling out. You know, we all shed hair when we wash, brush, etc. You can prevent some of that with proper nutrition. The problem with omega 3s, is that you will probably have to add flax seed oil or flax seeds to your diet, rather than taking the vitamins available. Last time I checked, the pills available didn't contain enough per serving to fulfill even the very lowest recommended daily allowance. I mean, it's really an infinitismal amount and does no one any good. Flax oil and soy oil are great sources of omega 3s though, can be found anywhere, and if you just use them in dressing on salads, drop a few drops into yogurt or something, you'll never know the difference.

GNC has a supplement called "Ultra Nourishair for Women" that makes the hair grow faster and stronger, you can read what's in it by googling it. Be warned these pills are HUGE and you have to take 2 a day.
Also ProCaps labs sells a "hair skin and nails" formula that does the same thing, supports hair growth and health, and is smaller and easier to swallow.
If you take only Biotin [sometimes known as "vitamin H" ] alone, make sure you take at least 2.5 milligrams or 2500 micrograms [the same thing] a day because thats' a good amount to take. I use the Nourishair supplement from GNC now and my hair is growing faster than it did, but it took about 6 to 8 weeks of daily use to see results

Health is main priority
Regular trims!
Treatments such as all those suggested above
Internal pills (silica etc.)
Dont brush too much with a regular brush as this will make more hair fall out. Be gentle and dont rip through your hair, start at the ends gently then brush from the roots.
Try a massage brush, one that vibrates, this stimulates growth.
And yeah wear it in a ponytail or a style that pulls (but not too tightly) for a while, maybe even just at night...

There is one natural way to grow your hair longer without taking any product.. Believe it or not, it will work.
Pull your hair every day, few times a day. I am not kidding. By stimulating the head cell, your hair will grow quicker.

I understand that Main and Tail is good. When I want my hair to grow I stimulate my scalp by lying on my stomach on my bed and hang my head over the side. While the blood rushes to your head massage your scalp. Sounds wierd, but it works for me.

this might sound crazy, but it works. my best friend had really sort hair, and wanted to grow it for an upcoming wedding she need to attend.
first of all, eat lots of proteins, especially beans. hair is made of dead skin cells, and proteins produce that. the crazy thing my frind did was the following- she massaged olive oil throughout her scalp. it wourks, seriously. after used to the olive oil, let it sit for 10 mins. then wash your hair with herbal essence dangerously straight shampoo.
hope you try it and i hope that helped!

You could buy mane and tail shampoo and conditioner. It works wonders. Lot's of people think it's for horses cuz of the name but its not. If it was why do they sell in stores instead of a feed store ?

taking pre-natal vitemins(you know what they use for pregnancy), eating jello or anything w/ gelitin in it. and i've also heard the horse shampoo. i used to use it a long time ago. all three of these seemed to help a little, or either it was just my imagination.
