Because when the wedding is over and life moves in the wife suddenly realizes her dream of being a princess is over. No more dating, no more 'her day', no more silly midnight walks on the beach, no more swooning and chating on the phone to her future mate for eight hours a day, etc. Women are so driven by emotion that they actually prefer turmoil, sadness, anger and despair over calm and dull. They cheat because they think they have a God given right to be romanced 24/7 and they always make sure hubby finds out in order to ignite the fires of anger and misery. Now she's in her element -- everyone is focused on her once again, for better or worse.
It rarely has anything to do with her desire for sex. It is almost like an addiction for romance, an addiction that is just as devestating as drugs or alcohol to her family.
Go figure.

Because they are immoral spineless selfish emotional sluts. And that is the only way they know how to validate themselfs. They have no concern for the man in there life. All they care about are there own feelings and desires. Never mind all the work the men do for them and the pain that they will cause. And all the woman on here ask well why does a man cheat? As if that is justification or exuse for a woman cheating. That's feminists for you.

I am a wife, and I would NEVER, EVER Cheat on my husband! However it has been said by many psychologists that Men cheat mostly for the sex, and because of honor. However Women tend to cheat because they don't feel like they are getting the love and attention from their husband so they go to outside sources. Also Women's affairs tend to start emotionally not sexually. And end up sexual.

Maybe because their husbands work a lot and don't pay enough attention to their wives, or spend enough quality time with them.
They do it to seek attention. Even when they have all the materialistic things they could want, it still won't make up for all the times their husbands are absent.

Why are you just asking about wives? What about husbands? Some husbands cheat, boyfriends, girlfriends, significant others, etc.

Don't know. I'm a wife and I will never cheat. I've always told my husband that if he is not happy to tell me. There is no reason to cheat on me. Likewise I would do the same to him.

For the same reason hubbys do. They feel neglected or the hubby gets fat. But mainly because the husband doesn't pay enough attention to her and make her feel wanted and loved. If a woman got flowers every month and wonderful kisses everyday and sex every couple days by a man who kept his body in shape, she wouldn't want to cheat.

When a spouse cheats it is a symptom.Get to a counsler if you want to try to make the relationship still work.

i have been married for 14 years and never cheated but my husband has cheated twice. go figure.
