Why did I get thumbs downs for my last question?
I didn't attack anyone.
I didn't disrespect anyone.
I didn't force my views on anyone.
I merely asked for some personal opinions.
I get the feeling that the people who gave a thumbs down were uncomfortable with the fact that they may have realized a condradiction in their own belief system.
Your thoughts?

hey ericVonCartmen: you are missing the point. Is it that they thought it was a stupid question or that they didn't like admiting the contradiction?

hey eduarodi's: My "feelings" aren't hurt. I'm trying to get to the "why". I'm exposing their motivation. Please read the other question, then read this one, then see the big picture, then give an answer. Don't be a douche.

I'm afraid that if you cannot handle a few thumbs down, this may not be a place for you. You're going to be hurt a lot...
EDIT: I didn't mean to attack you. I did read the other question. I did read this one. And then I answered this one. I did not answer the other one because it is addressed to Christians, which I am not.
But then again, I guess you must know I'm not a Christian, right? I mean, I'm sure you went first through some of my questions and answers. Then you read my answer to your question. Then you put this one into the right context, and then you called me names, right?

You got the thumbs down on your questions because there in nothing more intolerant than an upright, uptight holier than thou Christian hypocrite. Of course they are uncomfortable with questions they can't answer, and instead of just admitting it, they turn on anyone posing an honest question.
There was a question the other day asking if Atheists were just
as hypocritical as Christians. I actually think not, because most Atheists have carefully thought out and researched Christianity and made their choices based on their findings. Where as most Christian thinking is pretty fuzzy and is followed by rote. Christians get irate and testy when challenged in any way, but go out of their way to ask for it. Thumbs Up!

I agree with you, it was an honest, respectful question- unlike many, many other questions on here. I did read you other question, and as a Christian I can honestly say I don't know why innocent children suffer the way they do. I wish I could ease your mind, but I really don't know and I have read the bible, but just because I have I don't know the answer, I'm sorry.

I think you got a thumbs down because people do not respect the power of Ra. They will suffer in the pit of 10000 snakes for eternity.

The answer is too long to post here. A simplistic answer would be attacked.
