Color won't lift artificial color. What color is your hair dyed? What color highlights do you want? Is your hair in good shape? Fresh color does lift out better, but you will need to pre lighten.

I dyed my hair red then highlighted it that very day with blonde highlights. Hair is damaged after being dyed. It's not going to be undamaged in two weeks. As long as you are careful, there is nothing wrong with doing double processes, or highlights, or anything else like that.

its not good to highlight it the same day,,u should wait 2 to 3 weeks,,everybody hair is different,,,it took almost all my hair out i had to wear a wig for 4 months until my hair grew enough to get braids,,u can try the same day if u want 2,,good luck

Try 4 to 5. That way your dye can be settled in the roots and it can remain healthy also.

I do mine the same day, usually right after I color all over. The professionals do it that way and I've never had a problem.
