Why is it when a person doesn't like a certain product, such as a bag of chips, a pack of gum, or a sub sandwich, the company offers to replace the product, with the same product. If you don't like the product in the first place why would you want it replaced with the same thing?

I know what you mean -- seems pretty silly to me, too. Some companies send you coupons for a certain amount off of any of their other products or a product similar to the one that you bought. That makes more sense to me.

You know I have often wondered the same thing! If it is nasty the first time it will probably the same the second. Not to mention the time and effort it takes to tell the company you think that the product stinks and then the time for them to send you the "free" replacement. My advice is to just not buy it again, but then my dad would take the time to get the free just to put one over and get something for free.

you need to let them know what the problem was about the product and that you want to your money back instead of the same thing cause you were not satisfied the first time

It could just be that one certain package was bad or "off". So they want you to try it again because maybe then you'll like it. If you still don't like it, then ditch it.
