The limbo became an extremely conventional perception at one time, that some theologians developped as a fashion to attempt to describe the place could toddlers bypass in the event that they died in the previous baptism. It became in no way an stable doctrine although. It became very conventional certainly, yet in no way stable nor shown by using any pope. wish this helped. God bless you

Limbo was suggested as the place where unbaptized babies went when they died. This idea was never official Church doctrine and has be rejected.
The church now says that it is not sure what happens to unbaptized babies when they die but she entrusts them to the mercy of God.
With love in Christ.

When my sister lost her first baby to a miscarriage she was concerned for the soul of the child. Now that this outdated concept has been given a new view I think she doesn't worry about it anymore. Like many Church doctrines they were created to strike fear in the masses. That applies to any religion not just Catholicism.

Jesus said "Go out into the world ,make BELIEVERS and baptize in the name of the Father the Son and theHoly Spirit. He never said go get babies...That's Catholic dogma and so is Limbo, it's not in the Bible.Babies are innocent, the same as mentally challenged, and others.King David had a baby that died.He said "He won't return to me ,but oneday I shall go to him." Jews didn't baptize their kids.Read the Bible ,that's God's rule book, everything else is man made crap.

Is Limbo a formal doctrine? If so, the pope can not scrap it. To do so would invalidate all Catholic doctrine (ALL).
I have not heard this? I will watch this.
