Hi James!
We are saved, or going to Heaven, by believing in the Lord Jesus Christ as our Savior and Lord, and repenting, by asking Him to come into our heart and life and to forgive us for our sins. It is a personal relationship with Jesus.
One does not need to go to church or give "tithes" to be saved. It is good to fellowship with other believers in services and does help one to grow in the faith.
The following link explains the process:

God Bless you for asking questions and searching for His truth.

OK, there's a saying that I've heard often- "Going to church doesn't make you a Christian any more than going to a garage makes you a car." You can go to church your whole life- you can give 50% of your paycheck to the church. All that doesn't mean anything when it comes to your salvation. The way to Heaven is this: Jesus died on the cross for your sins- he took the pain of your sins. You have to realize that you are a sinner, and realize your need for Jesus to forgive you. You have to repent and turn from your sins and ask Jesus to come into your heart. It's that easy. Talking to God, tithing, going to church, all of those things are great. But unless you have asked Jesus to come into your heart and forgive you, you won't go to Heaven. God bless!

Good question! Here is my understanding - the money has nothing to do with it, except people that don't pay tithes are called 'robbers of God' in the Bible. You see, everything that you have belongs to God. 'You were bought with a price.' The 10 % tithe is merely a token of a faithful Christian's obedience to God! Talking to God is good, but praying to God in the spirit is ideal. God is a spirit, and must be worshipped as such. The filling of the Holy Spirit, I believe is the most important thing after confessing you are a sinner and praying the sinner's prayer asking for forgiveness (being saved). The Bible talks of this more than baptism, more than anything. In fact, before the Apostles began their ministry, Jesus Himself instructed them to go into a room and pray and get the baptism of the Holy Spirit. It was a direct instruction. It is called the pentecost. It is mentioned more times than any other one thing in the Bible. This takes the act of many minds in one mind and one accord, hence we assemble ourselves. You cannot do it alone. The Word also says to 'fail not to assemble yourselves, and that much more as you see that day approaching'. Salvation and the steps to heaven aren't as simple as a lot of people think. You can't get saved on Sunday, for example and then on Monday embrace the world again. The Word says to be not conformed to the world or worldly things, but be ye Holy, as your Father in Heaven is Holy. So, you read more, and study and decide for yourself. You cannot earn your way to heaven, lest any man should boast. But you must do the things that Jesus says to do, otherwise you are lost.

Well the problem is youre not doing the things Jesus wanted the church to do. (preach, teach, baptize, train) Christians that do more of Gods work here on earth will have more reward waiting for him. Perhaps if youre asking "Whats the least I can do and still go to heaven?" then youre asking the wrong Q and are on the wrong track.

Not to be picky, but it's TITHE.....and yes. You will go to heaven because all it says in the bible is to respect the Sabbath day and keep it holy. There are people that go to church every Sunday that based on their behavior, if God is going to judge them, they got in the wrong hand basket! You don't get to heaven because you go to church every Sunday, and don't let anyone convince you any different!

Giving Tithes dosen't get you into Heaven.
Believing Who Jesus Said HE was WILL.
Get you into Heaven.
The First thing that Happens when you ask Jesus to Save you is that the Holy Spirit Hovers over you and Recreates you (an Invisible Spirit, Living in a Visible Body).
Getting your Spirit (you----not your Body) Recreated, makes it Possible for You to handle the Power of GOD and go on to Heaven when you Leave the Earth for Good.
Religions cannot Save you.
Religions cannot Recreate you (a Spirit).
You Gotta be Born-Again, and Jesus is the Only One Who can Recreate you (Save you).

Jesus said 'Unless you are born again, you cannot enter heaven'. So it takes more than just going to church and tithing. You must have a relationship with the Lord and trust in him to be your savior. You have to confess your sin to him and ask him to forgive you,and then turn from them. Believe that God is his father, that he died on lthe cross, and on the third day God raised him from the dead. Then you shall be saved!

Heaven is a creation of man...so is church and giving money to the church. You can talk to God all you want, but once He talks to you, you most likely, are delusional, and may need professional help.

I don't know where you get your information, but going to Church will not get you into Heaven, only the Blood of Jesus can do that. So you see it really depends on whether or not you know Jesus as Savior, not whether or not you go to church, read your bible or drink holy water.

First of all, we are all brothers and sisters in Christ. Tithing is only a small part of Christianity. Here is a little scripture about fellowship; If we say we have fellowship with Him, and walk in darkness, we lie and do not practice the truth. But if we walk in the light as He is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus Christ His Sin cleanses us from all sin. 1 John1:6-7.
It's not for me to say if you're going to Heaven or not, but I know it's important that you worship with others.
Thanks for asking.
