I don't agree with your assumptions. Most of what I see is Christians trying to drum up agreement with fellow Christians by their inane questions. For example, how many "Bible Story" questions have been asked on this site? Too many. They assume facts not in evidence and seek an logical answer. What is logical about Jonah being swallowed by a whale and then living inside of the whale? It is fictional allegory. Anybody that says otherwise must also believe in Santa Claus, the Tooth Fairy, and the Easter Bunny.

Apropos the Easter Bunny, I believe it's a fairy tale for children because the alternative would be to explain to them how a human being was tortured by being nailed to a cross. Better to hunt for Easter eggs than expose young children to that sort of depressing ugliness. I agree with that. But you really can't have it both ways. When it suits Christians, they will defend all the contradictions in the Bible by saying something like, "God works in mysterious ways" which is a cop out in my opinion.

The only questions I usually ask Christians on here is things like "Why can't you show respect for others by not pushing your religion on people when its unwanted?" things along that line and I try to be nice as I can be about it too.
Why do so many Christians on her ask us "unbelievers" so many questions?
Maybe some of them think they can ask a question and get a honest answer too instead of people who just copy and paste a bunch of bible verses. BTW this is yahoo answers....therefor people are suppose to ask questions. No one said you had to answer any of them.

Because they're attacking you intellectually. They think they're smarter, and they're trying to prove it.

Many questions are asked for the purpose of making a point, rather than soliciting information.

For example, "Why are you so stupid?"

Such a question is not expressed with the intention to obtain an answer, but rather to make the intended insult look more intelligent.

Dont like it, then Christians shouldn't infect us with the disease while were are young. They should make it unacceptable to preach the gospel to anyone under the age of 30. Also they should never ever get their views passed as 'secular' sounding laws. They should stop hindering scientific progress. They should stop abusing children psychologically. Stop going to other countries and making people twice as evil as yourselves

Christianity is rotting your mind right now. When you find out it may be too late

It's not that they are unbelievers, it's that they are undecided or in turmoil and are looking for a simplified answer. Sooner or later, someone will hit the nail on the head and they will be satisfied. All we can do until then is keep answering their questions.

For the same reason that Christians ask us questions, so we have a way of telling each other what we want them to know.

Is "liking" your answer a pre-requisite to asking questions? How could I know what you're going to say ahead of time?

Because they do not get the answers that they want to hear.
They have hardened their own hearts toward the truth, like Pharoah in Genesis.

They do it because the one that they serve leads them to. Cause strife..... create dissension......... bring out the hate in people......start an argument...... get hard feelings started...... all of the things that the one they serve loves to see and hear, and half of them don't even know they serve evil's purpose.
