You have not mentioned the age of you Bernese Mountain Dog but anyway I will try to be general. If your dog is eating too much at one time or the food is too rich or he/she is eating real fast that can make them sick. If your dog is a pup I would check from the breeder what kind of food they were feeding prior to you. I do not believe it would be stomach bloat (stomach doing a 360) because your dog would be dead. Never run your dog after eating to avoid that situation and also avoid play after eating, for about 1 hour, to avoid vomiting and bloat. Your dog could also be sensitive to the diet you are providing and you might want to try another food that does not have the same ingredients. I purchase Wellness (whitefish & sweet potatoes) but that is a choice you would have to make. If your dog continues vomiting after trying the above, I would not go too long without consulting with a Veternarian. Best of Luck!

Maybe it eats too much too fast? Is it a puppy? If so, it could have what is called a megaesophagus. It is a malfomation of the esophagus which allows the food to come back up after eating. Some of these problems can be cured with an operation, some dogs outgrow it, and some dogs will need to be put to sleep.

How often does this happen and how soon after eating? Something that comes to mind is a condition called megaesophagus, very serious. This means that the dog's esophagus is enlarged and food just sits in there.
If the food is digested then maybe it's allergic to the food.
Call your vet and schedule an appointment.

There is also the possibility of timing. Do You feed your dog soon after taking him or her out for a walk? Eating so soon after exercise can cause the dog to be ill. If in doubt however always speak to a vet, they will always offer the best advice & recommend any treatment required!

Some thyroid disorders can be cured, but many require lifetime treatment. Learn here https://tr.im/iKiVT
For example, sometimes early stage thyroid cancer can be cured by surgery to remove the thyroid gland, but you will need to take thyroid hormone medication afterwards for the rest of your life. Goiters can also be surgically removed and do not always recur after surgery. In most cases, thyroid disorders need treatment over a lifetime. However, with treatment most people with thyroid disorders can live normal, healthy lives.

my labX vomits right after eating if there is something in the food that she is allergic too. If you've tried changing your dogs food and this is still a problem I would take the dog to the vet. There could be many reasons why your dog could be vomiting. My friends dog has a thyroid problem which causes her to vomit after eating.

maybe eating to fast or you may need to raise his food bowl off the floor cause sometimes this can cause problems in the taller dogs as the neck has to bend alot which squashs the food pipe making it difficult for them to swallow and digest the food.

if this is short trm ie a couple of days it could be
- something he has eaten (e.g a manky rabbit)
- an infection (food poisoning)
- an obstruction in teh gut (this is serious so get your dog to the vet)

If it is longer term then it could be myasthenia gravis which makes the oesophagus enlarged and them more likely to regurgitate food

i would get your dog to the vet to check it is not something serious
