This photo is of a woman in old timey dress and it is just of her head and shoulders. It is in a old looking frame with beveled glass but there are no markings on the photo. The glass that the picture is actually printed on is white or milky in color. I am just trying to find out if this is an old picture or if it is something that is just made to look old. Any help or advise on where I should look would be greatly appreciated !

Hi, I recommand you to try google picasa.

picasa is a Google's photo software. It's what should've come with your camera.

It can Edit , organise and Share you picture and small video flips.

It's very easy to use and is free, just like Google

This is an old technique, for sure, but without taking this to an expert, you are not likely to find out. A "wet emulsion" can be applied ot almost anything and this is the sort of thing that a student might do as an assignment. The object, of course, is to make it look old! Good luck.
