Why Illegal Immigration Is Good

2016-10-02 10:08:38 · answer #2 · answered by boden 4 · 0 0

There are lots of reasons why world governments are against illegal immigration. One of the main reasons is that if the government doesn't check the people coming in how are they supposed to tell if that person has a criminal background? Also, if a person enters a country unchecked, how is the government supposed to tell if they have health problems that could potentially be passed on, e.g. tuberculosis (TB). If people are allowed to enter a country unchecked they could seriously harm the nationals of that country. First and foremost, a country's immigration programme should be designed to benefit the citizens of that country. The benefit could be to allow very skilled people to come to the country to work and help businesses there or it could be for cultural exchange or reuniting families. Governments are against illegal immigration because they need to ensure that all immigrants provide benefit to their country. But also, they need to protect immigrants - illegal immigrants are often taken advantage of because they are not able to find legitimate work, e.g. they end up being exploited for low wages, or they work in illegal industries such as prostitution. By governments being very strict on entry requirements and minimising illegal immigration they also protect people from people trafficking, e.g. when a person in an underprivileged country is told that they have a waitressing job in London only to get to London to find out that they will actually be working as a prostitute.

If illegals have nothing to hide--then why did they not become LEGAL immigrants?

I could give reasons on both sides-many have been stated. Not counting the ones that are not true.

It's curious how people are seen as inferior, just through their illegal entry/presence in the USA.

Someone who illegally enters the USA, works hard, pays their taxes, obeys all laws (except regarding legal presence in the USA), is seen as inferior to a person like Timothy Mcveigh.

You can kill hundreds of people - but if you are a legal US citizen, you're still somehow superior to an Illegal alien.

So, current adverts in the run up to mid-term elections talk about how it's allegedly a bad thing to consider citizenship for an illegal alien, even after paying the penalty for that crime. We don't evict US citizens for committing crimes, we punish them then allow them to re-enter society - even sex-offenders are allowed back into society -so just ask why an illegal alien can't be allowed a path to citizenship, after they pay the penalty for illegal entry/presence in the USA ?

I committed a crime(theft of $5 of gasoline in 1982), paid a fine & became a US citizen on 02/13/04.

P.S. When it concerns perspective on lost jobs - I lost my job today. It went offshore. That's 3 times in 5 years that my software job has gone offshore.

1. Illegals don't pay their fair share in taxes.
2. They don't make enough to buy insurance and are making hospitals go bankrupt.
3. They are bringing down the school system in this country.
4. They're criminals and nobody is above the law.
5. They illegally effect the labor supply and reduce the wages of other American workers.

and for a bonus,
6. They create misery for many people by stealing social security numbers and committing identity theft.

illegal immigration should not be allowed.

1.) could be a reason is why there are now two languages in our country.
2.) they are taking jobs away from citizens because they want to work for cash under the table and don't have to pay taxes.
3.) they are taking our money with these jobs and are not paying back into our system to support our country for improvements, healthcare, and social security.
4.) if you want to live somewhere with opportunity you need to support that opportunity (see #3 )
5.) I just don't like it. My father's side of the family immigrated in the 1950's, but they learned the language, became citizens, paid taxes, and still made a better life for themselves contributing to the country that made it possible!
