Brown-black. Asians have black hair, Middle-easterners have brown to black hair. Africans have brown to black hair. Many Hispanics have some shade of brown hair. I would say brown or black.

My guess is the most popular color is some shade of blonde but the most common color is brown

Well considering 1/5 of the Earth's population is Chinese, I'd have to say black. Think of all the other Asian countries and the size of their populations. Then move on to Africa. Even Caucasians sometimes have black hair.
Definitely black.

1.3 million Chinese, 1 milliion India, almost all of Africa, plus the rest of the Asian countries come to well over half the world.
Therefore black is the most popular.
