The truth is somewhere in between there. LOL. Yes, there are relationships that are similar to movies, where you just fall so fast and hard, you feel like you're walking on air and the world is all yours!! But, of course, that infatuation turns into the every day kind, which isn't at all like the movies.
But no, it's NOT a big fat farce.
It is like anything else: you get out of it JUST what you put INTO it. Invest some time and energy and your investment will pay off, I guarantee it.

Well, Movies just try to depict love, and some of them come pretty close, but you have have to experience it in real life to know it . More like a cross between Streisand's "Evergreen', a Guns & Roses concert and Looney Toons, just not at the same time.
The best part of it is looking at each other at the end of a day, the end of a year, or in 25 years and saying , you're the best thing that ever happened to me, and I love you just the way you are!

Love like in the movies shouldn't exist. It's all so perfect and love is not perfect. It has its ups and downs and with that a couple grows in a lot of ways. Does anybody know the true meaning of love? There are so many ways and types of love. That's why one should always marry somone with whom they enjoy sex, enjoy conversation with, interested in the same goals in life, etc. Also, physical looks matter in some respects and in good hygiene, but you can love someone who does not meet "society's expectations of physical beauty".

Love like in the movies is the kind of love one feels in the beginning of a relationship...or the honeymoon phase. AFter that, it just becomes comfortable. Nothing wrong with that but it's a different kind of love. You choose to love someone and how to love someone. So, if you want it like the movies...spice things up romantically and be open and honest with your significant other about how you want the relationship to be.

NOPE, love like in the movies dont exist, in the movies they MAKE it suceed, where as in real life we have to really work hard to make it suceed,
it may be the same if we could rewind or fast forward or pause, or delete the bad parts,
BUT, until we can, we will just have to be certain we are with the one we really love & if we are not then change it until we find our true love,

movies are part fantasy, an exaggeration of the true meaning of love. remember there are special effects, background music to put you in the mood, the actors are acting a role.

It depends on what movies you watch. Some mirror reality better than others. I think it depends on how strong the writing is (the script.)
