About the answer that said yes. She couldn't be more wrong. If your gonna answer a question know what your talking about.

It's not true. As a matter of fact I happen to know this because I was playing with a pit bull and he accidently bit me and licked the blood off. We contiued to play. He never attacked me or anyone els for that matter. Pits are a kind of dog you would want to get when your children are8-9 years old. Unless you get them as a puppy and is raised with the children. Yes You hear it on the news about how someone was attacked by a pit or a rot. What they fail to tell you is, What made the animal attack. Half of those dogs are abused, living in scwaler, Not fed, or plain and simple was backed into a corner and got scared, or their owner had them for fighting perpouses. Pits and Rot's are the most loyal and protective dog you'll ever have. They are the most loveable. People are ignorant. They don't attack for no reason. I love pits. I'm going to be getting one also. I fell in love with the mug!

NO, this is sooo not true let me enlighten you. I personally don't trust a pit bull but not because it might have the taste of human blood. The pit bull came from Europe and was actually put on ships to kill rats. Man or at lease the human species started training pit bulls for the gambling and entertainment enjoyment of torturing and maiming these dogs to fight other pit bulls thus inner breeding these dogs, developing the blood lines for killing. A pit bull (for the most part) is what you make him from a puppy and act like you want him to act . Because of they're massive heads and body's and they're over developed biting muscles they have a bite comparable to none. the problem with pit bulls in my opinion and just my opinion is that the breeding of fighting dogs have gottin so deep into the bloodlines of these dogs that attacking and biting comes natural thus, making the dog dangerous...humans, animals friend or foe, really doesn't matter and that's what makes me nervous around these dogs and since dogs pick up on that, it's double trouble for me. 99% of maulings that make the news involves a pit bull. Rottweilers were known to be great family pets and great with children but that is changing as well because people are breeding rots with pit bulls and that blood line is being messed up as well. Jungle cats and ferrets are another issue, once they have tasted any kind of red meat blood, they have been known to start looking for it. This is why my three ferrets have only been fed chicken type food and processed, never raw. The same with the leapord our friends had.

this is one of those stories people made up after developing fear or hatred toward any breed. The truth is, most dogs do not like the smell of blood. Yeah, they can bite you and taste the blood but the smell of the blood will deter them from many situations or places. Usually, when a dog smells blood, they will sniff it, shortly thereafter start shaking their heads and making a disgusted face. The smell of blood has something about it that most dogs do not like. Notice how i said most. Hounds, are dogs that don't mind the smell. Most other types of dogs though, don't like blood. Not even their own. As for a dog attacking a person, you cannot only put the blame on the animal but also the person that got bitten in some situations. Sometimes people just put themselves in a position where they will get bitten. Other times however it is the fault of the owner alone.

Why do people think pit bulls are all bad? The only reason people use pits in dog fighting is because they are strong. ANY dog that is raised to be mean is going to be mean... If you have a poodle and it was raised wrong it could bite or worse kill someone... So people, PLEASE!!!! stop with the pit bull stories...

No, that's not true. Pit Bulls are very protective and territorial, that's why they attack. They can also be wonderful dogs if you train them to be nice. It's all about the way the owner treats them.

No, that is a myth for any animal. It is not the taste of blood that gets a rouge lion hunting humans; it is the ease, for one reason or another, of the hunt. Pits may attack for a variety of reasons, but the taste of blood is not one of them.

No not true at all. They do however need to be trained and socialized with people and other animals.Pit bulls get a bad rap just cause they were bred for fighting. But like all dogs they need training and lots of love.

Of course that's not true. Pit bulls are like any other breed of dog--they can be nice or mean, depending on how they are brought up. I have one and she's a sweetie-pie.
