When I was cleaning the men's room at the bus station, I found a pack of Juicy Fruit Gum in the urinal. It wasn't pre-chewed, like you may have thought from my question (that would be gross). It was still sealed and a little wet, but it smelled ok. Anyway, it tasted really salty. Could pee have actually seeped into the package, or do you think that there was something wrong with it and thats why someone threw it into the urinal?

No, I think that pee got into and they aren't wrapped water proof. Thats what I have always found anyway.
YUCK, pre-chewed gum! Thank heavens it wasn't pre-chewed, I don't even want to think about it.

Ok, my stomach just turned. Just because a pack of gum isnt opened doesnt mean that its waterproof. You are lucky you didnt get really sick from that. You literally ate someones urine. Yes, that is worse than gross, its totally and utterly disgusting. I am still gagging from the thought.

What is with guys and bodily fluids? Gum only costs a quarter/pack. Dont eat anything you find in the bathroom. Who knows how many peoples DNA was on the package? Maybe someone spiked it, knowing that some janitor would chew it up......

It got urine in it. Plain and simple. The gum is of a basic nature(scientifically speaking)due to the sugar, and the urine is acidic, and when they neutralize(balance out) it produces salt and water...so that's why it tasted salty.

You need to go to the Dr. & get checked out. Who knows what kind of disease you can have. It had to have been pee.
