I used Sun-In a long time ago and it did turn my hair from dark blonde to very golden blonde.......you can use a blow dryer instead of the sun-light. You do have to do a few applications to get your desired blonde.
BUT.......it is very hard to change your hair color after you use it until it grows out. If you try to dye it another color it'll not turn out right (that's where the orange hair comes in!). I had to let the Sun-In'ed hair grow out enough to cut it off.
A very long process and I went awhile with two-toned hair, not attractive!
So be sure it's what you want to do if you use it.

It depends on if your dark blonde hair is the natural color or not, and what your undertones of color are in your hair type. The products these days usually don't cause the orange look on dark blonde hair. However, I would suggest using a blonde hair glaze instead. It gives that look that you wanted without all the "we'll see" risks and effort! It's subtle, natural and provides LOADS of shine too!

Some people say it works for them, but I would use a better
brand of highlightening kits. You pretty much can't go wrong with those. And since you have dark blonde, giving your hair some
blonder streaks will look great. Use the kind with the paint stick.

you rather could permit a expert take a verify out it. once you do see a stylist be useful to allow her understand you used solar -in on your hair. it rather is between the worst issues you could placed on your hair and maximum hairdressers hate it. solar-in has been known to soften hair. The non everlasting did no longer harm it because of the fact in basic terms washes out. the 1st time you dyed it, the colour probable in basic terms dwindled. The highlights have been ok yet that in basic terms seems after part of your hair and you're nonetheless caught with the section which you probably did no longer spotlight. I recommend first to speculate in an extremely sturdy deep conditioner. After shampoo & rinsing, word cond to damp hair place plastic bag on your head and sit down below dryer for 15-20 minutes. additionally get your ends trimmed. permit a expert evaluate your hair and do a attempt strand. the only thank you to get returned on your unique shade is to maintain trimming it. do no longer use a shade remover it rather is extra harm on your hair. Use non everlasting shade. verify you're mushy with the stylist. you're no longer obligated to allow him/her do something on your hair. The consultation is loose.

Sun In is horrible for your hair. It will dry out your hair. You are better off using lemon juice if you have to give yourself highlights.

It won't make much of a difference, but if you are in the sun for a very long time, it will be about the same color, but slightly lighter in shade.
