If they really wanted to incur the wrath of their neighbors by stealing and eating dogs, they would have moved in next door to a dog breeder. Chances are your dog is not the right breed and hasn't been properly fattened even for those Asians who do eat dog.

Say you eat chicken. If your neighbour keeps a chicken in his yard, are you going to steal it, kill it, shave it, skin it, dismember it so that you can cook it and eat it? No, you wouldn't. So yes, you are being paranoid.
When I was young, my mum used to get live fish from the fishmonger and prepare it for dinner. They're pretty useless out of water, are unable to run around so you don't have to chase after them, yet I can tell you it was STILL quite a lot of effort.
Just go to the store and buy a steak, I say!

Yes, that is a reason for being paranoid.
Your dog might not like to eat at home and would always want to eat your neighbour's leftovers as they would be yummier than what he would be eating at present.

Here in Hong Kong it is illegal to consume dog meat.
But I heard from an elderly who used to love dog meat, he could kill and cooked the meat all by himself said it's delicious. He told me most dogs escaped when they saw him approaching them, they could sense the danger and very alerted.
May be your dog knows it better than you do! Check your dog's behaviour, is it being paranoid?

Lol. Relax. They get to eat meat every day now, .... no need butchering neighbor's dog....lol- too funny. They came to America, so they don't have to eat dog. You are in the US, right?... I'm assuming. Not all eat dog in their country.... and only those who can't afford meat.
Knock on their door and introduce yourself- make friends... surely then they will not harm your dog... and then tell them about your question here... I guarantee you they will laugh their heads off. We Asians are very friendly people.
