Not looking for people to tell me what's right & wrong...I already know all of that. I'm looking for what you think, realistically, is the average age that sex is started in our society now?

depends, my friend is 14 and she's had sex, (w/ the same guy) lots of times..... but sometimes younger kids get raped, and after that, they just stop caring.....
if your thinking about it and your still a teen, wait its not worth it, my step sister who is 15 is having a baby boy this feb. and one of my good friends who is i think 16 has a 2 month old babs (Alexa.)
you shouldnt risk it, when my friend did, she was worried for so long that she might be pregnant, she took a pregnancy test once a week for like 2 months, just be carefull if you do......

Don't know about statistics, but have personally known 13 year old that had had sex.

I work at a Sex Education Org for youth and based on stats the answer is 16-17 , but it can vary based on gender, race, location, class etc.
In the United States, 45.6 percent of high school students and 79.5 percent of college students ages 18-24 have had sex.
Among male high school students, 68.8 percent of African Americans, 53.0 percent of Latinos, and 45.1 percent of whites reported having had sexual intercourse.
Among female high school students, 53.4 percent of African Americans, 44.0 percent of Latinos, and 41.3 percent of whites reported having had sexual intercourse
Nationwide, 6.6 percent of students reported initiating sexual intercourse before age 13. In every ethnic subgroup, males were significantly more likely than females to initiate sexual intercourse before age 13.1
