The name for it is the Harvest Moon... but not because it has a ring around it... because it is October, the time of harvesting the crops.

Tonight is called the Harvest Moon. It is close to earth and can appear to be as much as 12% larger than normal. The best time to witness this is 11:00 tonight. No ring around my moon. A ring around the moon usually means a lot of moisture in the air and you could expect rain in the next 24 hours or so. Great Moon viewing tonight

Can't remember if there is a technical name for it, but this is the Blood Moon (October full moon) and a ring around it usually means rain or snow coming.

A ring 'around' the moon means simply that there is a lot of moisture in the atmosphere, and it doesn't have anything to do with 'Wicca', the practice of which makes you a sorcerer in the eyes of God, and you can pay with your very soul for it.

It depends on the color of the ring. If it is the typical glow it just means that there are ice crystals high in the atmosphere. Tomarrow it will be full. Blessed Be.
