whenever my boyfriend and i get into fights it always ends up with him slapping or hitting me and calling me ugly but the next day he always does something nice like get me flowers or take me out to dinner. my friends say this never happens to them and i think thats weird. does this happen to you?

Basically what your saying is that your man puts his hands on you. First of all no man or anyone for that matter has the right to put their hands on any one. That is the classic case of abuse and you need to get away from that situation before it gets worse and that means, he may hurt you enough to put you in the hospital or worse, your grave. The ugly part is also abuse, verbal abuse, neither cases of abuse ever turn out good in the end. Do yourself and him a favor, leave while you still have the chance and don't look back. He needs counseling and you need someone who will touch you and caress you, not beat and slap you. It isn't easy to leave a man you love but you have to be strong if you don't want this to happen anymore. Hope that helps good luck!!!!

Listen if this guy hits you then he isn't worth your attention! Just because he does something sweet the next day doesn't cover up the fact that he is abusive. This is not normal at all!! Dump him for someone who cares more...and isn't abusive!

he's abusing you. even if you're fighting, you are an independent person, and you shouldn't have to put up with this. even if he makes up for it, that is completely wrong and your friend is right in discouraging you. talk to him and tell him to stop, or tell a parent or trusted adult and try and figure out how to work it out or break up with him. No, this does not happen to me, because i won't let people abuse me. remember, that you are strong and independent and don't NEED a boyfriend. it's good if you work out the relationship but if not, it's probably for the better. talk to your friend, she sounds like a smart person.

Yes, I was married and he did it a few times and for some reason I could always justify it in my mind. When I found out he was cheating on me I came to my senses and left. I told him if he ever came near me again I would kill him. And that goes for any other man that would beat me and put me in the hospital. Get away from him. You need to or he will destroy who you are inside.

What the hell are u waiting 4? Run like hell. Slapping, Hitting & calling names = abuse. What dose he have to do........punch you in the eye and give u a black eye before you leave him? If you stay it will probly get worse.......it's like you condoning it. Let go of your "boyfriend" because he is not husband matrial.

it has never happened to me but my friends cousin got beaten into a coma. it isnt normal and you should get out of that relationship before he really hurts you. B careful 2 do it gently though because Udont want 2 get him angry.

no, thats physical, and mentall abuse, you should get away from him, it could get uglier, things start small but can end big, sooner or later he will probley eather accidentally kill you, or put you in the hospital, you can go online, to one of the search engins like dogpile, and put in something like abuse cases, and you could probley get alot of articles on it.... be carefull, you cant ride off and live happly ever after with every guy.

PLEASE go rent the movies: Sleeping with the Enemy, & What's Love Got to Do with It. Take note of the abusers behavior and how he can be SOOOO sweet after whoooping her @$$. See the endings to also find out what you should do about that.

NO it's not normal you need to take a second look and look for the escape route and the fastest way out. it will get worse as time goes on.
