to give people a thumbs down because it is not what you believe ... even if the answer given is not claiming to be the truth .. and especially when it is given to try and give someone a little hope ?
cant people see past the difference of beliefs if there is a chance it may actually help someone ?

i really dont mind people saying anything about what i believe
what i do mind is when someone is hurting and just needing some sort of comfort
this isnt about me .. im strong enough to take it

I agree and why thumbs down a question or an answer just because you do not agree with it? All questions have merit.

I thought the whole point of the thumbs up or thumbs down was to show your agreement or disagreement with an answer! Therefore if I believe someone is giving good advice I give it thumbs up however if I don't believe the person is giving a good answer I will give it thumbs down. It is then up to the person asking the question to decide whether to accept the advice or not!

I jsut wanted to tell you that I saw absolutely nothing wrong with your response.
People are afraid of what they cannot understand and if that is what you believe then go with it.
I have noticed that there is a lot of intolerance when it comes to religious views on yahoo answers towards all denominations, faiths and belief systems.
Don't take it personally, you know the procedure!

I only give a thumbs down if the person is rude or if they do not answer the question. It doesn't really bother me much.

becuz ppl r mean..and they think only their answer is correct.....and sum answers on here really make me happy but I just don't pay attention to the negative ones....and u shouldn't either...becuz ppl b hating too much...life isn't fair but we gotta deal with it
