No, heaven doesn't exist.

They would be able to go to heaven. There is only one unpardonable sin and that is blasphemy of the Holy Spirit. It is the only one that is not forgiven and washed away by the blood of Jesus Christ.

That being said, the bible also tells us that we will receive varying rewards in heaven based on our lives on this earth and I don't think committing suicide is going to earn very many rewards.....

You may be asking this question hypothetically, but if you aren't and you have a burden that you feel is more than you can bear, I would encourage you to turn to your pastor or fellow parishioners. I've been this down and the only way I came out of it was with the loving support and strength I found through my church family.

It all depends on the state of their mind at the time as well as the life that they have lived. Many people who commit suicide are mentally ill, even if only briefly. To be counted as a serious sin the sin must be of a serious nature, committed with the knowledge that it was sinful, and willfully and freely committed. So yes it is possible. And this IS the Catholic Churches view on the subject.

Everyone commits suicide in one way or another. By being in a bad job or having a bad relationship with someone. I think the best thing for you to do is to get help from someone who is a professional. A Doctor or a Lawyer or even a Priest. Talk to someone about how you feel. Have you talked to Jesus yet today? He is always willing to listen...

I lost my husband to suicide 5 years ago. This is my personal belief. I think there is a healing place people who commit suicide go to first before they join others in heaven. Life can get here and mental illness is a disease just like diabetes, heart disease, etc.

Look remember that in everyones life there are good and bad times.Just when you feel things cant get worse they do,and then all of a sudden fortune changes and you are in joy.thats the pattern of nearly everyones life.If you lose heart you lose.Religion tells us that the person who committs suicide goes to hell forever but God is the best judge of that I think only He can judge. But dont lose hope in His mercy.Happiness might be just round the corner if you struggle a little more and endure a little more.Peace I wish the best for you dude.

Did the Two Thieves Crucified Jesus commit suicide?

If you love Jesus you are free to commit suicide because you can sin no more if Jesus died for your sins.

Trouble is - Christians think they are all going to Heaven but "none o'dem want to die"!

First, I hope you're ok...and that this is just a hypothetical question.

That said, there are so many schools of thought that I feel more than comfortable adding my own: I do believe that ours is a kind and benevolent God and that he welcomes us all...especially the broken hearted ones. Most of us, made in God's own image, would never turn away one of our own who suffered from the pain that suicidal people do...why on earth would we expect Him to?

More imporantly, I understand the overwhelming need to give up...I do. I've tried it twice myself. Once, it simply didn't work and I changed my mind. The second time, a friend found me...saved me...and even suffered my wrath for saving me! It would take a while to recover from that...but I did and I learned something: For most of my life I had heard that God never gives us more than we can handle. This sounds like so much malarkey on those really dark days. What they MEANT to tell me was that "GOD NEVER GIVES US MORE THAN WE CAN HANDLE -- WITH HIS HELP!" His help comes in so many forms: friends, family, clergy, hospitals, prayer and puppies.
Make full use of any and all of the above.

Go in peace.

God would never condemn someone who is mentally ill, and someone who commits suicide is mentally ill, agreed? Maybe they aren't mentally ill like a person with schizophrenia or bi-polar disease, but they are sick and need help. Unfortunately, if they commit suicide they obviously don't get that help.

God understands the heart, so I'd never judge on whether someone went to hell because they were so mentally or spiritually ill that they did themselves in.

My little children, these things write I unto you, that ye sin not. And if any man sin, we have an advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous: 1 John 2:1

For we have not an high priest which cannot be touched with the feeling of our infirmities; but was in all points tempted like as we are, yet without sin. Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need.
Hebrews 4:15,16

There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear it. 1 Cor. 10:13

As long as Jesus is our advocate in the heavenly sanctuary above pleading his blood on our behalf before the father, we are covered in his righteousness. God knows who are his, and in the event of suicide, God knows who would have eventually confessed their sin if death had not prevented the confession.

It is no harder for someone to go to heaven after committing suicide than for a person who dies in a car accident with unconfessed sins on the record. We do not change from saved to unsaved with every sin. It is a gradual process of becoming deaf to the pleas of the Holy Spirit that makes us unwilling to confess our sins and obtain forgiveness.

If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness
1 John1:9
