Canadian geese can be kind of lazy. There are millions of them in New Jersey that never go back to Canada. I guess they got tired of the commute.

They have pretty much become a common site here in L.A. They typically are only here in the winter months, can be found in other states further east and north of us year round, and breed in Canada and Alaska. It seems like more and more of them are staying here year round...probably because our weather is so good even in the winter, and there is plenty of food available, so they don't even need to migrate anymore, they can just stay here all the time.
