when one asks a question about god or christianity no matter how innocent that a lot (note i said alot not all)
christians go quickly on the defense as if they were attacked?
they don't seem to see the question for what it is. just a need to understand.

If i do not agree with a Christian,...and mostly I do not...then they immediately tell me that I am going to hell.....I think that is some Amusement Park they dreamed up for those who are not like them....they are for the most part now, not all......engulfed in the fear that if another is not like them they will lash out, defy the devil within the other, or softly vow to pray for your soul....I think this Amusement park might be Free.....might be worth checking out. I was told two weeks ago that the reason I am ill....is because Jesus Christ is NOT my saviour.....pathetic isn't it......now I am going to go and weave that basket that they warned me about in Rehab...for if I am busy...the 12 steppers might leave me the **** alone.
Yes, they are defensive, for they are NOT taught how to LISTEN....... only follow...save some...I mean no harm by my reply ...just know this, I am Humanist and this is from my heart, mind past experience and understanding which at anytime can change...though doubtfully on this one.....time to crank up my Music.......Think I will listen to "The Voo Doo Lounge...."....
BTW any smart comebacks on this are immediately dismissed.
Deal with it. In fact, I may even put on my copy of the Stones, Beast of Burden, or ......Sympathy for the Devil........

There is only one answer I can think of and that is gilt. They have a need to spread the word (as they call it) and feel guilty if they don't. Is it not amusing when we think that after the crusades that we would see all this killing in the name of God now days? Funny how the human race wants to kill for any dumb reason they can think of even religion. I always feel that if a person treats me as a person then we will get along. For I don't care what religion a person is - that is their belief. Just leave me to mine...

Because most take it that there religion is being attacked, because most people in today's life attack the christian religion instead of going about it with an open mind. So that's what people have grown known too, and that's why they take offense to most things said!

Interestingly the truth needs no defense, it stands up nicely on it's own.
I like the way that they answer with a barrage of bible quotes. They are always telling which version of the bible that they are quoting.
Makes you wonder how there can be versions of the truth.

Christians have been taught by their Bible that they will be persecuted. They believe that everyone is out to get them so paranoia is just good thinking. They want to be martyrs too, and by believing that they are being attacked in their minds they are. Accordingly, all questions will relate to them and their one theme, do what they say or rot in hell.

Persecution complex. It's a bit annoying really.

What do you expect? Non Christan's (and some so called Christan's) come here to fight.

sounds to me like atheists find the need to defend themselves by posing "statements of opinion" instead of "questions" as a mechanism of defense as well.
