Isn't Heaven a boring place?

Considering that you don't have a body so you don't have an appetite (you can't enjoy eating, one of life's pleasures). They don't have cable. What's to do up there? Just sit around and admire a man who lives in cloud(boring). A man who can't figure how to get the religions to agree in order to stop sectarian violence (give me a break). And what do you do on day 2? Don't tell me the same thing. Some religions say that if you are a terrorist and kill for their cause, you go to heaven/paradise. So you're going to be with terrorists? I understand that many people up there play the Harp but, what if you're stuck next to someone who plays the Accordion? The Human Spirit thrives on challenge, if there are challenges in heaven then it's not heaven. It might be alright for a day or two, but for eternity? You can keep it. No Thanks.

In the first place, seeking pleasure, whether it's eating, getting high, or drunk, or having sex, or any one of a number of things(you could go on & on), is serving self, and serving the flesh. That's the first thing you have to do is transcend to spirituality. God is a spirit, not a man. To be calling yourself a professor, you aren't very educated. To ask a question like yours shows that you are totally carnal minded. It also shows that you might think that someone out there has been to heaven, and came back, so they could tell you what it's like. Get real. Another hint at your ignorance. You say that religions say this and that, well the Catholics tell you to pray through a 'saint'( which was designated a saint by men, not God!), and other things that Jesus taught us not to do. Religions will not save you, sir. Also, if you think terrorists will go to heaven, that's another hint at your I.Q., 'professor' - Christ said in the book of Matthew, chapter 7, verse 14: Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and FEW THERE BE THAT FIND IT. In verse 13, he says Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, which leadeth to destruction, and MANY THERE BE WHICH GO IN THEREAT. The reason for this is selfish little people who look for nothing more than instant gratification always, and get bored when there isn't something right there in front of them to occupy their little minds. But you go, man! You look for that instant gratification! It's out there - everywhere! Best of luck to you. But know that you will spend eternity somewhere. I'll take heaven and praising God each and every day for eternity over the alternative! The book of Romans says that EVERY KNEE SHALL BOW AND EVERY TONGUE CONFESS that He is God - that means you,sir.

Heaven and Paradise are two completely different places.
Heaven is reserved for 144,000-Check out the book of Revalation, that's all that will ever get to see heaven.
Paradise is the Earth after Armageddon-maybe you heard ' the meek shall inherit the earth'.
I think perhaps you,ve been watching too much T.V.
By the way Spirit-look up the origin of the word. It means the life force or breath.

Sorry, but you totally misunderstood what heaven will be like. The bible doesn't support any of your descriptions of heaven. The bible does say you will have a body, a perfect body one that doesn't decay/rot, there will be no pain, no suffering etc. what makes you say they don't have cable? there will be heaps of people to talk to. and no I don't agree that heaven will be in the clouds rather the bible says it will be a city (a big city) Killing or doing stuff doesn't get you to heaven but rather by what has been done for you (when Jesus died on the cross and rose to life on the third day) So just accept Jesus into your life and you will go to heaven. what makes you think they will play musical instruments in heaven or going to be challenges.

You say you don't want to go to heaven, well the only other place you can go is hell. Hell will be boring, as terrible suffering that will last for eternity. personally I would rather be bored in heaven forever than to be punished and be bored in hell forever

Heaven is going to be full of things you love doing! There is going to be colors there that you have never seen, smells you never heard, music like none other. You will meet more people than you could believe. You will be living in a mansion. Your body will be made perfect! No scars or "beauty marks." No thunder thighs. No missing fingers and crippled hands. A totally pure and new body, more glorious than you could ever imagine!! And most importantly, you will get to spend every minute with the King of Romance, the Lord of the Universe, who holds the power of life and death in His hands, who created everything, and loves you!!! So how do you get there? Anyone who believes in the name of the Lord will be saved. So will the terrorist who committed suicide be there? Only if he believed.

Heaven is enjoying what you are doing and doing it in a place where you are not aware of the time passing by. Have you not experienced how long a day seems to be when you are having a problem that you wish to be solved in a short time?Like a debt that is haunting you everyday? or a lover that is taking so long to come to you? That is comparative to hell but when you are with your love ones, you dont' seem to notice that time flies so fast. Heaven or hell is not a place it is just a state of mind.

I think we continue to learn in heaven since we as humans only use about 10% of our brains while we are alive. I think a place which is peaceful and there is no pain and no sorrow sounds...well, heavenly! I certainly don't think people sit around on clouds and play harps all day. I think we have alot more to do and learn.
