I am also about 10 miles from the border, in the RGV.
I am not pro-illegal. I am pro-legal, which means I'd like to let very large numbers of Mexicans coming in legally. Millions.
I am also in favor of legalizing drugs. Not because I use them, because I not only don't use drugs, I don't drink alcholic beverages.
But, if we legalize them, immediately there will be no market, no insane profits for their sale, thus no one will be in the streets trying to get your kids hooked on drugs so they can make large profits.
Our worst drug problem is alcohol. Most problems with drugs are related to the fact they are illegal, thus you buy them from criminals instead of at the drugstore.
And, if someone is stupid enough to buy legal drugs, let them. It's called The Darwin Effect.

okay let me see, where to start... you know what really p's me off is that they come here illegally and then are able to get help from the government!!! That blows my mind, seems like they would actually check that stuff before handing out welfare checks, food stamps and medical card to people who haven't put anything into this country then want to take it. Like social security, HE** no illegal immagrants whould not be able to get it, who thought of that stupid idea in the first place? Granted everyone who lives here has decendants in some other country probably but so what? we were born here or are legally here now what gives them the right to just bypass our laws? What gives the government the right to take away from us and give to them? We are the hard working americans who pay our taxes every freaking year!! DO THEY?? doubt cha' It is not only about drugs lot of people sell drugs, but that makes me mad too, we have enough people trying to push drugs on our young people; we don't need any more. They don't even deserve to be in our jails if you ask me, send them back to mexico, build a wall like the wall of china, and keep them over there, I would gladly pay a little more in taxes to help out that project!!! INFURIATES ME!!!

No, I am not pro-illegal immigration. I am very sorry for the danger you and your family and friends live with and I hope that things are being done to alleviate this problem for you and all the rest of the citizens of the USA. Are you a legal citizen in the USA? If so, let your vote count in the election.

I am against illegal immigration....and so was my grandmother who came here from Mexico Legally in 1917.
Drugs is not the only problem....there are diseases like TB that are untreated and spreads to schools when their children get it from theri parents.

Thats why the process includes a background check, etc. Don't you know that is why a lot of them are illegal? Because they know they would not get approved.

No. By definition, illegals have broken the law. We must have law and order to stay a society.

I'm Anti-illegal immigration.
Why?
Because, I have friends that have come to America from other countries (Romania, Cuba, Mexico, & Australia) & they followed the rules & became legal & lawful.
The rules should always be followed....its fair!
