1992 oldsmobile 98 regency elite had to replace alternator now radio is in a lock mode is there a code i can enter to get it working again

This is verry common when the old battery dies.
First do this
Remove the carpet on the passenget side,and look on the underside of the carpet some time thy put the code there.
If not, contact the dealer for the code.

I had a 91 pontiac sunbird and when it asked for a code we unhooked the batt for about 10 minuites and it magically unlocked itself. idk if this works in all scenerios but it is worth a shot.

call a GM dealer..give them the VIN or pull your stereo and its on the back of it.
