You could write a thank you note:
'Its strange how people find time to hate when life is too short for love. Thank you for being in my life and giving me all the love.'

I couldn't think of a verse, but I just wanted to say how wonderful that is of you! Can you be my mother-in-law too??? I hope your daughter-in-law realizes how lucky she is!
