It's normal for you to think about it from time to time. If it becomes an obsession that's another thing. Your young, theres plenty of time . Don't rush it. Someday your prince will come.

I think it's very normal. But I was married at 18 and had my first child when I was 21. I love my son that came from that marriage but at 40 I can look back and see what I could have achieved in my life had I not married at that time in my life. So all though there's nothing I would take for the family and the life that I have, I still can't say I would have gone back and changed anything. LOL. But I hope my daughter will consider all her options in life so she will be ready to commit to the right man when the day comes.

Honey, don't DO NOT focus on the wedding. Focus on the MARRIAGE! The wedding is one day. The marriage is (hopefully) forever. I think part of the reason so many marriages fail is that more time is spent planning the wedding than planning the marriage.

When I got married, Dad offered me $$ if I wanted to have a small wedding or elope instead of a costly big wedding. We could have put the money down on a house. I wish I would have done that instead of wasting it on a big reception. It was a big let-down. I'm much wiser now. Don't fall into the romantic notion that a wedding is a great thing. It's stressful and hectic, and not very fun. Nope... focus on the man and the rest of your life, not on just a few hours.

I don't think there's anything wrong, it's normal to daydream about your wedding. I just recently started to daydream too, I don't know why I think because I just graduated from college and it is possibly the next step. But then I realize that I have to get my career first and do other things before I settle down. I kind of snap myself out of daydream about it. It's ok to daydream about getting married and how perfect it will be and who you'll invite and were to go for the honeymoon.

It's normal because the vision of the white wedding gown and all that goes with it is sort of a cultural icon in the US and many other places. Just remember that it's what we want to happen, but if it doesn't happen exactly that way, it's not a sign of failure - it was just a symbol of a step in life that can lead to better things, and there are many ways to take that step.

Actually common among girls, and no big deal as long as you realize that life after the wedding is way more important. Many girls forget that, then get to discover divorce court because they ONLY thought about the gown.

It's OK to daydream, just make sure that when you ACTUALLY get married that it's for real. As a child of divorced parents, I can tell you that it's extremely important that you are 110% sure that this one is the right one. Any little flaw or thing that irks you is only magnified when you are married and living together!
