Tennessee, we moved here two years ago from Indiana, love it here the east side of the state is beautiful, you will want to stay closer to big cities to get better jobs if you are still working and not retired.
Knoxville, Nashville, Cookville.
We still have the four seasons here, but the winters are much milder and the Cumberland Plateau is beautiful if you get off the main roads and see some of the over looks, bluffs and valleys.
Average year round temp is like 52 degrees. It is a beautiful state with alot of things to see and do if you like nature.

Atlanta area has a good climate. There are four definite seasons, but all are short and mild, although the summer can be hot and humid. Look into the northern suburbs like Dunwoody or Roswell. They are nice places to raise a family. I live in Roswell and have lived for long periods of time near Los Angeles as well as in Ohio.
Atlants is a long way from the ocean which is somewhat of a problem. It also is a long way away from big mountains which is another problem.
The houses do not cost as much but they are not quite as well built either.
The quality of workmen on your home or your car is not that great.
The food is not that great because it seems most people put up with food that is not that well prepared.
There are some racial problems.
But there is no problem with hurricanes or earthquakes. There are several nice lakes near by. There are some tornadoes, but not too many.
There is a lot of green trees and shrubs and flowers.
A lot of people have strong southern accents which takes a little getting used to.
People seem to like to get in line on the freeways and in the stores and wait. Sometimes people move too slow if you are used to a fast pace of life.

Orlando is definitely warmer, unemployment is running about 3%, businesses are moving here (especially in the real estate and medical fields), and there are a few public elementary schools that are very good.
Downsides: every bad driver in the world visits us and home prices continue to climb.

Research Georgia, North Carolina, Virginia, Tennessee.
You'll get all the seasons of weather in those states but not anything severe. And the warmth in the summer time and winter time is wonderful compared to snowy PA.'
