It will be a literal mark, my friend. Here's something for you to ponder - the mark of the beast is already in use. Anyone in the military in this country have an ID card that contains a microchip with every piece of personal information about that person. All of this information on all of these people is stored in 'The Beast', a super computer complex that covers several city blocks of space, and is located in Brussels, Belgium. Check the Guiness Book of World Records on that. These microchips will be introduced into the general population, probably in the form of the ID card, such as a passport that we will be required to have on our person at all times, most likely to thwart terrorism is the reason that we will be given. You will not be able to do anything without it, just like writing a check without your driver's license. The most likely scenario to follow that will be to move the microchips into our bodies, in the hand, or some countries will have it in the forehead, and the prophecy will be fulfilled in Revelation 13, verses 16 & 17: 'And he causeth all, both small and great, rich and poor, free and bond, to receive a mark in their right hand, or in their foreheads: And that no man might buy or sell, save he that had the mark, or the name of the beast, or the number of his name.'

Dear smh,

You are quoting a passage from Revelation. And in the last days (this is after the rapture) where all believers in Christ have been raptured off the earth, the Anti-Christ will come on the scene and in the middle of his 7year plan of peace will commit what is called the Abomination of Desolation where he will go into the temple and demand to be worshipped as God.

And at that time as he demands to be worshipped people will be marked with the mark of the beast. Those who refuse to will not be able to "buy or sell" because that will become the monetary system. (The bible is not specific as to how exactly this will happen- but it is part of the anti-Christ's rule at that time where those who do not believe and follow the Anti-Christ will suffer). During these times there are those who will come to faith in Christ (This is why believers who share never share in vain - because one day some one that they share with- may realize that they were sharing the truth- when all the believers get raptured off the earth)-- but they will suffer terrible deaths because of the Anti-Christ. The time of the Anti-Christ after the rapture is meant to be a time of judgment although we continue to see God's love and desire to mercifully save people even during such perillous times.

Most certainly you can see that the technology is there for people to be marked and that mark to be utilized as a way to id people as well as to buy or sell, but once again the Bible doesn't specifically tell us how that is going to happen.

Hope that helps,

Nickster

If your christian, you might not have to go Thur all that pain.
so here it goes: the devil will take over a human body. try to become ruler of the world. comes to your house, and asks if you would put a chip in you or whatever. now here 's where you make a desion: get the thingy or whatever and get food and stuff for like 3 years, and spend ever ever in a lake of fire. or denie the thingy, got to heaven ever ever. and don't say you won't feel it, you will, oh and it won't kill you.

Revelation 13:16-17:
16 And he causeth all, both small and great, rich and poor, free and bond, to receive a mark in their right hand, or in their foreheads:
17 And that no man might buy or sell, save he that had the mark, or the name of the beast, or the number of his name.

If the VeriChip Corporation has its way, Koretsky's story will become the norm. It's targeting hospitals in Washington, D.C. and other metro areas, providing free scanners for the chip and hoping that soon, many Americans will decide to be implanted.

The simple procedure inserts a tiny chip under the arm, with no visible scar.

You might not realize it, but the science behind the VeriChip is already big business. VeriChip uses radio frequency identification, or RFID technology. Last year, vendors shipped 500 million RFID chips to the U.S. military and companies like Wal -Mart for use in inventory tracking.

Your pet may be one of the more than 6 million animals chipped since 1991. Highway toll systems use it to automatically charge you. And the latest U.S. passports sport RFID chips.

RFID tracking has become a part of our everyday world. And that may pave the way for more implants, even mandatory ones.

In fact, in just the last few weeks, the VeriChip Corporation has confirmed talks with the Pentagon about chipping soldiers. VeriChip says the military is interested in obtaining easy access to its members' medical records.

In the UK, Kevin Warwick, the cybernetics professor at Reading University, has had an RFID chip implanted in order for a door entry system to recognise him and allow entry to his office, turn on lights and so on without any physical intervention. He has also gone one step further and had a chip implanted into his nervous system to communicate directly with a computer and has managed to manipulate prosthetic limbs using this link. He has done this over the internet and has also managed to communicate via the PC with his wife who also had an implant. A true cyborg!

So given that financial transactions require higher-than-average security requirements they should be controlled by asking customers for two things, selected from something they know (for example, a secret or password), something they have (for example, a smart card), something they are (a biometric).

With a credit/debit chip in your phone (something you have) and an RFID chip injected into your finger (something you are) you’re covered!

Conclusion
Why would you not want to use this since it will be cheaper and easier than having to carry around (and possibly forget) a national ID card or a wallet full of credit, membership, and other cards. You may have to accept being trackable, and be scanned constantly, but if it makes everyday life easier and m

Biometric payment systems are most widely used by supermarkets, but they are also being pilot tested in several fast food restaurants and have applications at petrol stations and hotels as well. Customers register a fingerprint scan with a store or restaurant and enter their credit or debit card account numbers to set up their accounts. When it comes to making the purchases, customers place their fingers on the sensors for identity purposes and pay without ever having to show their cards.

In the UK last year, Pay By Touch TM announced that the Oxford, Swindon and Gloucester Co-op will begin piloting its payment solution in three stores around Oxfordshire. Pay By Touch allows customers to pay for purchases using a simple, secure method of finger scanning at the point-of-sale, completely eliminating the need to carry cards, cash, loyalty cards or a chequebook. Finger imaging links the individual to an electronic wallet, which holds their financial and loyalty programme information. The initial enrolment process takes about a minute as customers put their finger on a reader, enter a code, and swipe the cards they want to use. The Pay By Touch finger scanning technology does not store actual fingerprints, instead it creates a set of geometric points that allow for a secure identity match at point of sale.
