because they are born with such big heads and bulldogs (female) dont mature in that area until age 2.yea get her some help dont let her try to have pups on her own..you might lose her and the pups..

We have an English bulldog, and from what I understand, they must have thier puppies by C-section. They babys have very large heads and chests, and are too much for thier mothers to pass naturally. This is part of the reason they are so expensive to purchase- big vet bills! Good luck, you couldn't have picked a better dog!

Most likely they do cause they are not that big and there litter could be a big litter so of your bulldog is fixing to have puppies then you should ask the vet if she would need surgery.

Yes they do. Please do not breed your Bulldog. Unless you have lots of money to devote to pre-breeding testing and vet care and unless you plan to stand behind every puppy then just spay your dog and enjoy her as a pet.

Most do, bc of the fact that the pups have large heads, and sometimes the mothers have problems with delivery.

Yes, and they have to be bred by AI as well. Ridiculously expensive to breed a litter of BDs.
