Do they chew stuff up like some dogs. Are they easy to train? are they a good country dog? i live 30 miles from town

I own whippets. I breed, and show igs and whippets.
but we are talking about the igs which are similar to whippets, you cant hold them to tight, they will cry.
they seem to be very hyper right when you come home!
You would never wont to take them outside with no lead, because its there instincts that make them wont to chase everything in sight!
they love sleeping and hogging the whole coach. They are wonderful dogs.
They do take a little longer to learn things like sit, stay and housebroken things like that. If you were to get one i would prefer to get a baby younger the easier trained. Since you live in the country if you think you know your dog well enough, I guess it would be a try to let him/her run free. They love anything that looks like a rabbit!! and squeaks. They aren't just good pets there perfect companions.

They are Sighthounds, even if they are in the toy group. Very, very sweet! But also not easy to train, tend to be very naughty, are sensitive, and are never to be trusted offlead. Sighthounds are generally laid back most the time, but IGs are hyper and wild.
I have friends that have them, they are much to busy for me, I like my lazy Whippets!

our friend has 2 of those cute dogs! he bought his 2nd after having his first for about 6 months ... he loves them! no shedding, but they're timid and shy ... very nervous around lots of people and kids ... atleast his was ... but he lives alone and has no kids so ... i'm not sure. my husband and i have a st. bernard & a newfoundland and we LOVE them! They love the outdoors and the water ... very easy to train ... very loyal dogs ... VERY LOYAL and loveable, great with kids and all people & other animals ... I'd recommend their breeds to anyone! Good luck!

yes they are amazing dogs... I heard they are very easy to train... I have seen many in shelters so go rescue one they are adorable
although i don't have one

yes they are great dogs, please go and save one from a rescue or a shelter
they do shed by the way, there is no such thing as a non shedding dog
