Imitations, prejudices, lack of knowledge, arrogance and laziness...are the sources of great controversy everywhere on our planet today.
And just think, how beautiful the countries would become, if the noble UN and its glorious agencies provided on the Internet a universal shool of science and religion for any people who wnat to improve themselves and to improve the world.
Following is the statement of Abdul-Baha (an oriental Master) in London about a century ago:

"If any religion rejected Science and knowledge, that religion was false. Science and Religion should go forward together; indeed, they should be like two fingers of one hand.
Bahá'u'lláh had also in His Writings given a most important place to Art, and the practice of skilled Trades. He had stated that the practice of an Art or Trade in the true spirit of service was identical with the worship of God."
(Abdu'l-Baha, Abdu'l-Baha in London, p. 71)

Hmm. You have already made up your mind. This is not a question but an imparting of knowledge and opinion, isnt it? Thanks for sharing.
Maybe when the time comes that our knowledge will progress and evolve further, we can fully understand religion, no? That was the gist of your "question". Thanks again

The Bible says: The Earth is flat!

The flat Earth is established and can never move?! The Sun hurries back to where it rises?!
"He set the earth on its foundations; it can never be moved. (From the NIV Bible, Psalm 104:5)"
"The sun rises and the sun sets, and hurries back to where it rises. (From the NIV Bible, Ecclesiastes 1:5)"
We all know that the Earth and the other planets rotate and move in space around the Sun. Since when the Sun hurries back to where it rises, like if there is some hole it rises from and another hole it sets through on Earth?!
The Earth has pillars?!
"He shakes the earth from its place and makes its pillars tremble. (From the NIV Bible, Job 9:6)"
"Where were you when I laid the earth's foundation? Tell me, if you understand. (From the NIV Bible, Job 38:4)"
The Earth has Edges?!
Isaiah 11:12
12 And he shall set up an ensign for the nations, and shall assemble the outcasts of Israel, and gather together the dispersed of Judah from the FOUR CORNERS OF THE EARTH. (KJV)
Revelation 7:1
1 And after these things I saw four angels standing on FOUR CORNERS OF THE EARTH, holding the four winds of the earth, that the wind should not blow on the earth, nor on the sea, nor on any tree. (KJV)
Job 38:13
13 That it might take hold of the ENDS OF THE EARTH, that the wicked might be shaken out of it? (KJV)
From the NIV Bible, Job 37:3)"
He unleashes his lightning beneath the whole heaven and sends it to the ENDS OF THE EARTH.

Good point.

If both sides could be less emotional, they might discover there is in fact no contradiction between true religion and true science.

There is no contradiction between religion and science. Furthermore, there is very little functional difference between the different religions.
