Of course there's nothing wrong with not believing. Don't believe all you want - perfectly normal. As far as 'being as bad as a criminal' goes, you may like to hear that although atheists, agnostics, and non-theists make up about 10% of the US population, they make up about 0.1% of all the people in jail. All the religions are about the same in and out of jail. What does that say about atheism?

It is really possible to be a very nice, considerate, "moral", consciencious, good citizen and person, while being an atheist. Perhaps you were just raised that way. I don't know. I don't know anything about your life to be able to judge how you live it.
As far as your beliefs about God are concerned, I feel you are misled. It happens to a lot of people. It doesn't make you a "bad person" by default. Only you can do that.

God views all people as fundamentally evil. It is only through accepting Jesus and recieving the Holy Spirit that we start to become at all "good."
Atheists are basically guilty of breaking the 1st commandment. For a measurement, you really need to take into account who is sinning; where theyre from, why theyre sinning, who is causing them to sin, how they actually feel deep down about God, how much revealed truth has been given to them and yet they still denied? The punishment for people that shouldve known better will be more severe.
Atheists furthermore dont belong to God, therefore are perhaps not going to share in the same kind of wrath hes going to give people that USED TO BE his and backed off! Thats why I get a shiver up my spine when I hear people that gave up on Christ in favor of a perceived "better" truth.

oh truly? What are gauges and band tshirts? Sorry, i'm elderly so never heard of such issues. We have been all evil until eventually we chanced on the Lord. I used to think of i replaced into constantly harmless and each physique else replaced into picking on me, yet years later found out I did various undesirable stuff, even to myself, no longer understanding what I did replaced into undesirable. we can not do what's solid until eventually we get appropriate with God by using Jesus Christ. No such component as an Atheist. God is alive and constantly replaced into and constantly would be perpetually. stop believing the lies the devil feeds you. those exact same lies will take you to hell. And sure, hell is actual. you would be born back of the spirit. study the e book of John thrice and the certainty will start to penetrate that confusing cranium of yours.

Nah, I'm a tree hugger, so I think litterers are pretty bad. Maybe as bad as people who wear big hair styles in movie theaters then sit at the center of the 4th row from the front.
Kidding aside, the percentage of atheists I've known who are nice people is larger than the percentage of christians i've known who are nice, and larger by far than the percentage of muslims i've known who are nice. (Though I live in redneckville, so most folks are christians.)

Dear g,
You are most certainly not a lesser person because you are an atheist. Ultimately people become unacceptable to God because of sin (sin separates us from God). There is not a person alive who has not sinned. So when we say good/bad (it is not a relative term) but it depends on the standard we are comparing it to. Atheism in its form- being an atheist means not believing in God- is most certainly a sin- but the consequences of that sin are the same as any other sin. So it's not a fair blanket statement to say that atheists are evil/bad people, although it is fair to say that atheists are rebelling against God by not believing in Him, and that makes them unrighteous according to God's standards.
I wanted to sincerely share with you that God loves you. i see in the name you've given yourself Godhatese... (that you may have mis-perceived who God is). God has given Christ so that people can know His love through this act and come to a relationship with God.
i don't want to preach at you- but just want you to know that if i can answer any questions, pray, or help and encourage you in anyway please email: nicksterlee@yahoo.com
kindly,
Nickster

It is my understanding that God hates all sin, no matter what degree. We are only saved by God's grace and accepting Jesus as our Savior.
Does it make you a lesser person, no, I believe it makes you a sinner, but we are all sinners, this goes all the way back to Adam and Eve. However, as a Christian, my faith tells me that I am "Saved" or "Born Again" by accepting that Jesus is my Savior and that my sins are washed away by God's grace.
This doesn't give me freedom to continue to sin, scripture tells us that those who know the truth and continue to disobey it are judged more harshly.

No, definitely not. I'm an atheist and I know I have a lot more so-called "morals" than many Christians I've known.
