I'm a Canadian and I agree that you should be more concerned about terrorists crossing over from our country to yours. We're way too liberal and somehow have our heads buried in the sand over this issue. We're also on the 'hit list' and it's only a question of time. We're plagued with bleeding heart liberals and headline seeking NDP'ers who think we can 'talk' it out with the terrorists. On 9/11 my husband was travelling through the city on his sales job and the stories he told me were chilling. One woman had come into the store he was visiting chanting about the infidels deserving what had happened until she was escorted out. In another with Arabic owners they told him that it was perfectly understandable why it had happened. We're populated with sympathizers that have immigrated here - as well as illegals -with about 25,000 that we have no idea where they are.

Don't know if anyone in the US has heard of the Kadar family recently showcased on the cover of one of our magazines with the caption "Canada's First Family of Terrorism" - the father was one of Bin Laden's associates, one son is in Guantanamo Bay, another after being wounded in Pakistan was flown here to receive Canadian medical care, the mother & sister constantly make statements about how we'll be crushed and brother who is a family outcast (while still living at home) is making a movie deal --- DUH!

I don't know how bad the Mexican problem is however think that taking jobs from Americans is far less of a threat than taking their lives.

The Minutemen are on the Canadian/US border, as well. It's just not as publicized because that border is not as much of a problem as the Mexican/US border is. There are far fewer Canadians coming into the US illegally than Mexicans and Central Americans coming illegally through the southern border. I believe you are also wrong in saying that ALL the 9/11 terrorists came through the Canadian border. Some did, but not ALL. And I have heard now that the terrorists are impersonating the Mexicans and Central Americans to enter through that border in the South.

My friend's family illegally brought her Greek uncle over the Canadian border in the 80s. I also know of West Indians who have come through the Canadian border illegally.

I think it may be because the cold weather may prevent the traffic flow during most of the year and the major immigration flow comes from the southern border.

I do know from my Border Patrol friends that it is hard to get a spot on the Canadian border because they don't put as many agents there.

No terrorist sophisticated enough to do us any real harm will cross the most polluted river in North America to get here. South of the border a Middle Eastern terrorist will stand out like a sore thumb. He is more likely to come in on a 747 with a visa and passport and with our own government's knowledge, help and blessing. Or he will cross the Canadian border where there is a large Muslim community and he is less likely to be noticed. INS can tell you that zero terrorists have been apprenhended at our southern border.

Lock a terrorist and a Mexican illegal alien in the same room and they will most likely kill each other. Their views are diametrically opposed. The illegal wants to work and improve his life. The terrorist is dead-set on destroying even his own life for the glory of whatever it is he believes in.

The Minute Men are wannabes who strut around in camo with guns terrorizing an unarmed minority who only want to survive. Minute men do this in the relative safety of our own backyard. If they are so hell-bent to 'defend' our country why don't they join a fighting corp and go off to Iraq to fight?

A couple of years ago some of their ilk beat up some illegal aliens, took their shoes and spilled their water in the misguided effort to 'protect somebody's ranch.' Two of the illegals sued and were awarded in excess of TWO MILLION AMERICAN DOLLARS.

The newspapers stated in bold print:

The message that we want to send out is this: WE DO NOT NEED NOR WANT YOUR KIND PROTECTING OUR BORDER(S)...

Let INS and the Border Patrol do the job that they are paid to do. If they need assistance they will ask for it from local law enforcement agencies or even the National Guard. As one who has protected our border under the colors of law I can tell you that the Minute Men are not a solution. They are a problem.

Many a time while patrolling the Rio Grande, I came across heavily armed men in camo who were indistinguishable from drug runners. Seeing me in uniform they would flash their ID and I would verify their presence by police radio and move to a different location. Two armed groups in camo, DEA agents working undercover and drug runners make for a very volitable situation. Add Minute Men to the mix and you have a formula for instant disaster.

Minute Men, hire on with the Border Patrol if you want to protect our border. Better still, join the Army. Or else, just go home and get a life.

It does make sense even though I don't like them. I don't really see anyone trying to sneak over from the Canadian border. Where did you get the facts about the 9/11 hi-jackers?

The other day I posted the fact that the Minute Men are on the Canadian border. If I can find that article I will post it again.

Contrary to information out there about MCDC and accusations of "racism" because of our patrols along the southern border with Mexico, with cries of, "If you're not racist, why aren't you patrolling the northern border," the Washington State Chapter of the Minuteman Civil Defense Corps in October will celebrate its ONE YEAR anniversary with its, 24/7 operations along the northern border. Operations in several other northern border states will be taking place periodically throughout October, with plans for patrols every single day in locations along the northern border after October.

Why are millions of mexicans entering the United States illegally, when they know it's against the law, when they could stay in their own country and have a revolution, and make mexico a better place to live, instead of becoming criminals here?
That abslolutely makes no sense!
