Yes the 87 Buick Grand National was the fastest production car that you can buy for that year!! Today I think the 2007 Corvette Z06 is the fastest production car!! Also the Corvette ZR1 was the fastest production car for 1990 to 1995!!

Definitely in 1987 the Buick Grand National (whatever that is..) was the fastest land vehicle.
In 1992 the Mazda Navajo was the fastest for that year.
Currently the record for this year is being held by the Chevy Cobalt. Now that car is faaaaaaast!

i would say the bugatti veyron because it is stll the fastest car for the past 3 years.
