Generally yes, her nipples will sometimes swell. Then will come the blood. Get her spayed after her heat cycle. The sooner you have her spayed the lesser her chances of getting breast cancer, pyometra, and other problems when she gets older. After about 3 or so, your chances aren't so well, it's best if it's done before they ever come into heat. So get her spayed asap.

If she is around 6-8 months old it is very likely that she is in heat. Also look for a mood change. She should either get ridiculously playful or quiet and grumpy. Keep a careful watch over her for at least a month to be sure no males get to her. Usually their heat ends the week after you thought it was safe to stop being careful and 3 months later you have pups. If you don't plan on breeding her it is a good idea to have her spayed soon. Many types of cancer have a growth spurt when the hormones change during a dog's heat.

A swollen vulva is one sign a dog is going into heat. You can still get her spayed while in heat by most vets, they will probably charge more due to the size of the uterus and the bleeding that may occur. Contact your vet for prices and if they will do it while in heat

Yes that is the first sign of when dogs are in heat. There nipples swell up and they start to bleed so you are in a big problem.

Yes, lol when her vulva starts to swell (which can be up to 6 weeks before actually coming in) she will be in heat soon. When she starts to bleed she is about ready. Please make sure she doesn't get bred, unless it's planned and she's a Ch.

Yep that's the first sign.
The obvious physical warning signs that your dog is going into heat is her nipples getting bigger and her "womenhood" swells to a larger than normal size.

You might want to see a vet to check that out. If she's not fixed, I'd advise you to do it soon.
