God doesn't make people poor, other people make people poor. Some of them act in what they think is the name of God.
The only evidence we have that God favours the poor was provided by people; mostly, the guys who wrote the gospels. In the absence of direct communication from God, I would be very reluctant to speculate about why he allowed the apostles to claim that he favoured the poor. We can only infer that he must have had his reasons.
The one comment I would allow myself to pass about God vis a vis this question is as follows; if God is going to continue to refrain from any attempt to come to terms with the fact that a large number of humans are no longer willing to believe in him purely on the strength of his church's authority, and indeed will only be convinced by something on the same order as the many miracles that he was once so ready to provide (but with which he has been all too stingy lately) - if, as the evidence suggests, he's even given up trying to persuade his people that he exists at all, then I don't see why we should go on paying him any respect whatsoever. If God is omnipotent, then he can intervene whenever he wants; if he chooses not to intervene, then he needs to justify his behaviour, because he's no better than a mere street punk; if in fact he's not omnipotent, then he may be many things, but he' s not any kind of god that I recognise.

Deuteronomy 15: 4-5: "However, there should be no pooramong you, for in the land the lord your god is giving you to possess as your inheritance, he will rich ly bless you IF ONLY YOU FULLY OBEY THE LORD YOUR GOD AND ARE CAREFUL TO FOLLOW ALL THESE COMMANDS I AM GIVING YOU TODAY. Not saying that all poor people have disobeyed God, but the sin of human beings causes some people - although innocent - to be poor.

God does not make them poor
People make themselves poor
I wish everyone would all stop blaming God for every misfortune
People are here on a journey of life to create their own experiences and learn many lessons
So everyone should except what they have chosen and enjoy the time they have here and learn their lessons well : )
If you are in a bad relationship do you blame God or change the situation ?
If you live in a area which you don't like do you blame God and stay there or move?
If you have a job which does not pay much do you stay in that job and blame God or do you look for a better paying job?
It al comes down to self responsibility people taking charge of their own life and making it better.....
Love & Blessings

The poor understand what it's like to be human, they can look in another persons eyes and see good and bad. Rich people don't know or care about other people, just themselves.

They are usually poor to begin with.
God works with the poor more often because they are better at paying attenttion.
Rich usually don't pay attention.
Whether you get rich after God calls you is another matter.

god gave us personal choice. he does not make us (the poor) anything & it only says ''the poor'' someone could have lots of money but still fit god's description of 'poor' & it happens because of our own personal choice, not god's will
