supporter. Yes i know they are breaking the law but the situation in our latin american countries is so desperate that they just feel more safe here. I agree they broke the law fine but at the end of the day they are humans just like any other person they just had the misfortune to be born in a country where there's no justice and they have a corrupt goverment. they were not so lucky to be born in a great country like this one. the only crime they committed is looking for a better tomorrow for their families. i agree a lot people don't assimilate to the american society and that's what really gets to people. they should also learn english
I mean sure they can keep their traditions but is not right for my people to try to convert US cities into little Mexican towns.

Well, this time it looks like you got a couple of illegal supporters who came on to try to support their stance. I applaud them for at least answering your question here. However, even reading their responses, they do nothing to change my firm stance of not allowing any illegal immigration in the USA. I do not feel that they should be awarded amnesty or anything like amnesty. They jumped the line ahead of other people trying to immigrate legally and I do not think they should be rewarded for that because doing so will only cause an even greater surge of illegal immigrants as more will come, believing that if the previous batch got a chance at amnesty, they will also get that chance. This would be more incentive to more would-be illegal immigrants and so this should NOT happen. As well, it is terribly unjust to those who are paying the fees and waiting patiently to immigrate legally. BEFORE any border jumpers or visa overstayers get any chance to come legally, they need to leave VOLUNTARILY and apply from their own country (as they should have done in the first place) and they should NOT get their applications bumped ahead of the people who have already applied and are waiting their turn. As well, if they do NOT leave voluntarily and at their own expense, and instead choose to be deported at the expense of the taxpaying citizens, then they should be barred from returning ever again. A deportation on their record should mean no future return to the USA! They would have the choice of returning on their own steam, so if they decide to not take that choice and cause themselves to be deported - then it is due to their own choice that they cannot ever return.

I got sooo pissed this sunday. The Hartford Courant published an article on the front page of the Connecticut section that portrayed anti-illegal protesters as nuts who do not like "immigrants" in general. It compared a police sting at a public park known as a place where illegals go looking for work with Nazi Germany. There were dozens of pro-illegal morons shouting at the anti-illegal protesters. Guess who was portrayed in a more favorable light??
Illegal immigrant supporters are braindead. That's my belief and all you have to do is read the article I posted to reach the same conclusion.

The illegal immigrant supporters know They broke the law coming to USA illegally, but They believe if They pay a fine(5.000USA$ and all the late taxes) They can stay and work in USA, but They are going to check all Their records, some will be deported, and some will go to jail, and some will be allow to stay, all depends Who they are and what They do, like when some one get arrested They pay a fine and get release.

NON supporter----------
What does "illegal" mean??
AGAINST THE LAW---so obviously they are breaking the law!
A comparison...A doctor cannot practice medicine until he/she goes through a long, rigorous process. Learning, paperwork, and years of internship and residency. Then they are a doctor, legally. BUT they have the will to go through that process for the rewards in the end. A person who wants to come to this country needs to have a will to go through the process and look towards the rewards in the end. If they don't feel like it is worth going through it, then they should not be here. Simple as that.

I think they really do believe that they are not breaking any laws. They feel sorry for them. All kind of excuses. Well sure enough they might do better for their kids but really what do they teach them ? They teach them to break the law. They take away from the Americans. They steal identity's. I have a heart too and I welcome the legal immigrants with open arms. At least they did it the right way.

Okay, I'm a coordinator in a small health clinic and we do see people who do not have a green card but nonetheless these too are people, they bleed the same color as everyone in the world and should be treated no other way. These people work in our town, its an oilfield town and without these people the oilfield wouldn't work as it does and this town would be a ghost town. Do I think they should have paperwork and be legal? Of course, if they don't have paperwork or a card that doesn't mean that I'm not going to allow them into my clinic for treatment. I live by "Nice matters the most"

I'm not a supporter of the illegals but I just read a rationalization or justification that they are running with. They feel that most of this country was ceded by illegal treaty. Santa Anna acting under duress. So they are just taking back what is really theirs.

There's no such thing as an illegal immigrant supporter, only supporters of a more sensible solution than just "seal the borders!".

I don't support any law-breakers. I do support immigration reform but if I was in charge I do not know what I would do!
