Oh! For me it quite is the Friday evening salmon patties and fried potatoes mom constantly made. I too went someplace and that they had them, I basically closed my eyes went back an entire lotta years!!!! The now and back component is ham and beans--you knew circumstances have been getting confusing while mom offered a ham bone and a bag of beans. Fed all six human beings--yet I never cared for it. Now I make it as quickly as a 365 days basically because of the fact. For my son it quite is lasagne and oreo cookie dessert (aka "grimy dessert"). he's 27, yet on his birthday that's what I make, and don't overlook the garlic bread!!!

Tuna salad on white toast with a piping hot bowl of tomato soup. I spent like every weekend hanging out at my best friend's house. Her dad often made lunch on Saturdays and would ask everyone in the house "soup and sandwich?" up real close with a funny face and silly voice. Even if you were sitting 2 feet away from the last person he asked, he'd swoop right up to your face and ask you too. Ya had to be there, it was really funny. Anyway, "soup and sandwich" was ALWAYS tuna and tomato. Still my favorite 'cause it makes me smile!

For me it is Sugar Dadies (The Giant Carmel Bar on a stick) , As a Child I was terrified when My Teeth would sink deep into the carmel bar , getting stuck , sometimes instilling terror in me as I couldnt open my mouth and remove the bar , But I loved the taste so much that it would happen again and again.
I love Sugar Dadies , but I never eat one without remembering the childish excitement and terror of having my teeth stuck in the carmel.

Sugar cookies at Christmas time. When we were little. my Mom would make batches and batches of sugar cookies shaped like stars, Christmas trees, snowmen, etc, and would make bowls of different colored icing and toppings. The kids would all decorate them. It's a good memory.

Pimiento cheese. I used to eat it everyday when I got home from kindergarten. I loved it then. But now when I smell it makes me sick.
I think I ate too much of it as a kid.

My grandmother's chicken and dumplings is my favorite memory and the worst is Spanish rice (because it has tomatoes in it and it was spicy) and beets (for obvious reasons), my mom used to force me to eat them.
