my girlfriend hates my dog so much...

Tell the girl to go walkies and keep your dog. It wouldn't ask you to get rid of your girlfriends, it will always be loyal and will never try to change you. Then find a girl who likes dogs, there are plenty of them out there. Just take Fido for a walk in the park and all the girls will stop and speak to him, most are suckers for a waggy tail! Always remember the expression 'love me, love my dog'. Good luck with your new g/f.

What you decide should depend on the reason she hates the dog. If it is because the dog has horrendous manners and makes a huge mess or bites and snaps at her you need to train the dog or get rid of it. If you've had the dog longer and she is just jealous of it or if she isn't a dog person then she should go. Does she dislike all dogs or just your dog? A dog lover is a person who will never really be happy with a person so selfish that they would make them get rid of their dog for no good reason. A dog lover will never be happy without a dog. If she is like that then you would regret it if you keep her instead of the dog. Personally I've told boyfriends who suggested getting rid of a dog, "It's been nice knowing you but not that nice. See ya."

First off, for your wife to make you choose between her and the dog is childish. Your shouldn't make you choose between her and the dog. I'd tell her, if you make me choose, you'll be the one leaving tonight. Just imagine, if she's asking you to give up your dog, then next thing you know your giving up your friends, your family, your entire life for this woman. I say don't choose. Tell her the dog stays or she goes. Give her a taste of her own medicine!

Does she hates the dog or the way you treating the dog?
There are some I'll call The dogs boy, and I would not tolerate that.
I love my dogs and so is my fiancee, but I will never made him feel like his less then my dogs. I deserved a man at least better then my dog, who's heart is big enough to handle all of us as bundle of joy, not a competitor.

Well, first you have to choose between your wife and your girlfriend (you say that they both hate your dog so much). Make one of them feel special and make them prove to you why you should choose her over the dog. I'll bet the dog wins, by the way.
That is just selfish to make you choose. A person should never make another person choose them over an animal.

Obviously this girl probably wants out and it using this as an excuse. Sorry to say that. Also why should you make that choice, its your dog, its a living breathing creature and not an old shirt or something! Plus you know the dog is always going to be there for you, giving you unconditional love. Obviously her love is more about molding you into what she wants instead of making a compromise. My vote is for the dog!

Neither,ESPECIALLY if the the dog was with you before you even married her because 1-when you marry someone you marry them & whatever baggage that comes with them & you accept that when you take your vows! And 2-your dog is your lifelong companion that will always be loyal to you no matter what and 3-It is selfish to ask you to pick between them because most people consider their dogs to be part of the family ....when your kids are bad are you just going to give up on them??? no.If your dogs need some training take him to get the training... their are professionl dog trainers.

What kind of dog and why does she hate it? I 'd choose alright and she wouldn't be getting any dog bones in my house. The dog is more loyal anyway and I'm a woman. There is no way any person outside our family that would ask any of us to choose without knowing they'd be the one going home. We have always loved animals and my mom taught us to be that way. So, it'd be adios amigo to her, if it were me.

Choose the dog she obviously does not love you enough to love everything about you. She does not sound very nice if she is asking you to choose between her and your dog.
