Is there a tool in Adobe Illustrator10 that works like the magnetic lasso tool in Adobe Photoshop?

I am trying to crop images of apparel to eliminate the background.

I don't know about Illustrator 10 .. I have CS2 (v 12), and there IS a lasso tool, that is what it is called, it's in the top part of the toolbox.
Sorry I can't tell you for v 10.
