I just don't understand why guys won't give some of us beautiful bigger girls the time of day, in spite of the fact that we have great personalities and pretty faces. They take one look and judge. (And I'm not talking huge here, just pleasantly plump... just to clarify.) Should I just give up and settle?

That's not true. Lots of guys like me and I'm fat. I am also confident, fun, friendly and energetic. I speak to everyone and make people laugh. Maybe you are not using your good personality to it fullness, be confident in you. Go out and just have fun.

No, don't settle. I think there are plenty of men who like bigger girls. One problem I see though is that some bigger girls call themselves thick, and pleasantly plump, when they look just plain unhealthy. I think what guys want the most, is a girl who looks healthy. You can be chubby and look very healthy. However, if you look 30 pounds over weight, and can't run a mile in 10 minutes or less, then you'd better get to work.
Something that cracks me up though is that larger women always talk about how they have "curves" and skinny women don't. Curves are good - curves are the curves that your butt makes, the curves your boobs make, and the curves your hips make. Stomach rolls are not "curves" and neither are saddle bags or flabby arms.

Never settle. You will find someone. When you least expect it. Stop looking and start enjoying life. I'm a bigger women and I stopped looking, now I have a date all the time. I'm shopping around to find Mr. Right. Dont settle.

It is very sad that this situation occurs even today. Why people believe that only slimmer girls have anything to offer is ridiculous. But I can tell you that as I have grown older, I have begun to appreciate all people for who they are not what they look like or the size of their clothes.
My suggestion is to study hardest, always be immaculately groomed, help everyone who needs it, smile and be friendly to everyone. Great joy and personal success will be yours some day. Good Luck

Girl you need to come out to L.A.! and if you are in L.A. then maybe your not going out to meet guys in the right places because, I have never EVER had a problem with getting some guy's attention. Just like you, Im vuluptouse, pretty, and fit for a girl that is curvey and thick. So girl dont give in they will come to you...good luck

there are guys out there that like women bigger - my ex-husband was one and the guy I am seeing now is. My guy actually told me that if I were skinny - I would have to find a new man. They are out there - don't give up - just stop looking.

Trust me there ARE guys out there who can see past your weight, I know because I am with one.
There are also guys out there who PREFER a large lady.
I think the majority of guys are just following societies stuffed up "standards"

naw dont settle dont let those boys put u down. if ur pretty then u hold ur head and let them see it. and when u find the perfect boy then they will wish they would have told the chance to get to know u. cuz myself have dated some plump girls and they were pretty and i found nothing wrong with that. so my advice to you is to down give up. u show everyone ur pretty and down let some dumb boy tell u anything different. ur pretty and u know it.

There are guys who like thick girls. Every guy has their own preference. And a lot of them know that they can't all have 'Halle Berry' look alikes.

Not all guys are like that. My boyfriend loves the way my curves look. There are a lot of good guys who will like you and those curves.
