At a lot of clubs you can't wear sneakers....so maybe thats what they are talking about. I've never heard anything about white shoes.

I've never actually run into this as an enforced rule- granted that when I club it tends to be at a goth club so who would wear white, anyway? I can think of several reasons not to wear white anything at a club, though.

If you get spilled on or trod on, it'll mess up your stuff worse if it's a light color and the stains may be hard to get out. (to those of you who insist on dancing while holding drinks, by the way, try drinking bottled beer and hold your thumb over the opening.)

If you wear white clothing, it will GLEAM under blacklight, and you may not want it to. Say you're wearing black twill pants over white undies. Then say the lighting is strong, or there's a blacklight. You'll look like the biggest dork in the universe. White outerwear may have a similar problem under some lighting as it will turn out to be transparent.

Of course, some nightclubs have weird dress code policies that won't make sense to most people- and this often has something to do with local gang politics that the managers have gotten wind of.

Why would there be a reason NOT to? I've always worn what I wanted to. In the summer I wore my white sandals. So what diff does it make?

Of course it's been over 8 years since I've been to a club. Got tired of "the scene".

Because they look awful in the black light.
Because they'll glow so bright that everyone will be looking at your shoes and they'll run into each other then get into a huge fight and the club would have to close because some bouncer would let off some pepper spray......

With what black pants? They stand out like a sore thumb and look tacky. You look like you are all feet. If you wear white pants it shows every bunge. Be sure you have a perfect body to show off before trying to get away with white pants.
Best is a black suit with black shoes. Black is a power color that is why politicians wear black suits and red ties.
You don't need a red tie but the rest should be black and they say get a tie the color of your eyes. If brown have a mixture of brown and black swirls. If blue a blue silky tie works. A red head get a green or coral color.

my uncle is a bouncer on newcastle town. and he says that they dont like letting people into clubs with white shoes on because all the younger chavs wear white shoes and think they are gonna cause trouble. they also dont let you in if you wear stripey tops, tops with a make/logo on the, or if you have visible tatoos. simply because you look 'rough' and they think you are gonna cause trouble. lol.

I think thats NOT a gud idea. i dont think waist coats are appropriate for night clubs..but finally it depends on ur age. If ur a student, then jst go wit d tshirt. If ur workin and want to look young yet classy, the waist coat is fine. N white is a gud colour. But not so convinced abt d tshirt..y nt try a shirt..

it has been said that you should not wear white
after memorial day, a tradition that some one made up in the 1980, but this day and age they have come out with what they call winter white and you can wear it all year around,it looks more like a cream color.

Because you probably forgot to wear your white belt and white tie with your white shoes. Everyone KNOWS the complete outfit is white tie, white belt, white shoes. No exceptions! aka the "full Cleveland" Leisure suit optional.
